I’m not sure losing £13-14 million per season for 3 consecutive years can be seen as good management no matter how bonkers football finances are. Relying on owners with no real attachment to the club covering that for a prolonged period is risky at best IMO.

Strangely, as someone else mentioned I remember the friendly at the Vetch (although wouldn’t have remembered his name) as well! I guess it was unusual at the time as I’m sure there’s loads of UK based players that have played in the odd friendly that I’d never remember!

Agree with most of that. Gatland, Edwards and 5-10 World class players resulted in international success which is all 80-90% of the Welsh public are interested in. As a result most paid no attention to the lack of quality, depth and pathways in the regional game. Shame for those who genuinely...

It’s ‘cheating’ and looks pretty embarrassing at the time and even more so afterwards, BUT I’ve never really understood why people get so worked up about it and why they consider it so much worse that all the other ‘cheating’ that occurs throughout the 90 minutes.
