• We have today (22nd April) confirmed the closure of JackArmy.net on 31st May. Our reasons are varied but after a twenty-five year stint at the heart of the online Swansea City community, the time is right for us to bow out. JackArmy.net - Twenty-Five Years And Out

I wonder how many on here would be open to the idea of taking over the running of this site if they had some idea of what commitment would be needed in terms of time, technical knowledge etc etc? Maybe Phil could comment?

    JackArmy.net - Twenty-Five Years And Out

What a sad day! My lad rang me this evening to tell me the news that Phil was hanging up his boots and that the site, and forums would be no more. I'm gutted to be honest and I hope someone does decide to take the helm! I echo my thanks to jackharris for the excellent match day threads...

    Spitfire flypast

We're fortunate where we live, right on the doorstep of Biggin Hill airport. We often see a Spitfire overhead and occasionally a Mustang. The noise of the Spit's engine gets me every time!

    Swans TV log in

Thanks for this. It's Nord that I use but it's never occurred to me that multiple connections from different countries might mess things up, but it would be logical.

    Swans TV log in

Nope no luck getting a 3rd connection. My son was remotely trying to get his pc to log in but was having repeated VPN crashes so i wonder if that was messing up other connections

    Swans TV log in

Does anyone know if there's a limit to the number of logins allowed at any one time? We have often had 3 logged in but today only 2 work and the third gets denied. Any ideas chaps?

    Calling all electricians!

Interesting, I might investigate one of these. Incidentally were you stopped with the Aircon running? Seems odd that the battery would have run down so much in just a few minutes?

    Tax advice

A couple of years back I sat with No1 son as he had to do SA return. I'd done it years before and found it then to be a pain in the rectum, but doing it with the lad I realised the system had been made much easier and clearer, and we did it in about 30 mins. In my opinion, if you don't have...

    Calling all electricians!

Just to close off this thread, got back to the car this pm at Gatwick and no problem, started first time on the button. No warning messages or unexpected flashy lights. Still don't know why the alarm kept triggering for definite, but as we had parked so early, before the days flights really got...

    Car 'Infotainment' Problem

That reminds me of the late 1970s as a student in Birmingham. I had a Mini with a Pioneer cassette deck but no radio. My mate had an Austin 1300 with a radio but no cassette. He used to love coming to Swansea with me for the odd weekend (and Plastic Sam down at the Langland Bay hotel on a Sunday...

    Málaga Airport

My report on leaving Málaga. Just sat down with a coffee at the departure gate. Taxi dropped us off and the vehicle queues were quite long. Entered the terminal and it was very busy with people. Our check in with Jet2 was quick and then went straight to security, bit of a queue there but not...

    Málaga Airport

It's still quite bustling although we've been here over Easter of course when there's lots of parades and church services going on. We don't feel it's any more touristy than when we first came, there continues to be an absence of high rise hotels, restaurants are plentiful and reasonable prices...
