• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

It's Fulton's opportunity to prove he's every bit as good as him . . . . . . 😂

I knocked a few teeth out playing rugby, forgot my gum shield but thought I would chance it. Took a boot in the mouth teeth came out whole but the coach knew what to do - clean them off, soak them in milk which he got from the clubhouse and then push them back into the holes in the gum. Whisked off to the dentist holding my teeth in place with my hand, they glued some plastic over the teeth and to the roof of my mouth and told me to eat soup for a month. Tape taken off and x-rays showed that the teeth started to bed back in. Rugby and footy career over from that point onwards, as was biting into apples.

I got a smack in the mouth playing football in my teens. My teeth didn’t make it and although they didn’t come out at first the bottom four at the front all needed root canals. Been thirty of years now and they’re still there but need drilling out every couple of years for a drop of bleach to reverse the discolouring. The back ones have been long replaced with a bridge which snapped many years ago. The only solution for me is to have expensive implants and veneers eventually, and I should imagine it will be the same for Franco.

I suspect even without the club covering the costs Franco is probably good for it himself anyway :)

I feel I need to share my story how I lost some of my teeth. I didn't brush well and eat too many sweets. It's a simple tale. But one that needs to be shared. No gruesome hard man story here. 🤣🤣🤣 Maybe Franco can lend me some money. 💰💰. Joking aside, got to give him credit for trying to play on yesterday. Hopefully he will be back soon. We'll need him, as Fulton passes backwards not forwards. Gulp.

Ffs it’s only a few of teeth.
I've heard about players playing with a broken neck, achille ruptures and proper head wounds.. some have fractured a bone and played on as if nothing happened.. get the gum shield out and play on mun

I'm not judging Franco's situation, but Bert Troutman played on with a broken neck!
