Well, as it was reported at the time, Martin-twat would irrationally shout and lash out at HD6 in the dressing room and treat him as his errant son. All the other players were aghast at how he treated him esp as he was one of his own signings. A proper WTF. By all accounts.

It appears that Morse and Popstefanov are very wealthy guys that we are talking in the billions and then coupled with Nigel Morris would suggest that there is plenty of money.
The issue we have is the financial rules and regulations in place and they need to bring more money in through revenue and Modric would help greatly.....question is, what does Modric get from it all?

Im just curious re p&s and landore, if that isnt included in p&s and our owners are so rich why is there talk of it being closed to save money that can be used on things that impact p&s.

He might not cary the same weight of a Ronaldo or Messi, in football marketing appeal, or Ryan Reynolds in Media, but what he does bring is credibility. That goes a long way in football. Trusting a club that is being Co lead by a legend of the game. Any young or players who could be seen out of our reach will now be aware of his status with the club. Alot of people are underestimating the other aspects he will bring from sponsorships and agent discussions the works. Not convinced that your player wants to join Swansea? Jesus. Let's get two good results this weekend and this has been best week in a very long time. Swansea being talked about on Talk Sport and in positive light. If I'm honest, yes Modric publicty on this scale will be short lived, but what he will bring in long term will be more beneficial to us. Give me Modric over any American celebrity, or film star. Do I want players signing up to a club because they want to be on Netflix or Prime or Disney etc ala Wrexham. Or do I want a player who signs up because he knows what quality we have and experience to help them grow.

He is considered the best Spurs midfielder since Hoddle (or Gazza) although Moussa Dembele came close. Also and especially how he conducts himself as a professional, a leader, and a human being. If Luka decided to do this, he would have thought it through carefully and have a plan. He will also be committed.

I had hoped we'd get him back for a last hurrah when he eventually stops playing for Madrid (still playing for Real Madrid as an outfielder approaching 40, he is unbelievable), but maybe he'll play for you! I watched him front row at St James's Park in 2009 cross for a Robbie Keane tap in 2009, not Newcastle - Exeter ffs!! Ballon D'or winner. If only we knew we'd only have 4 years of his genius.
