Sheehan has worked wonders in fairness, but it's a new scenario looming for him, and an even bigger test than he's just had.
I'm no harbinger of doom, but we've all endured enough false dawns and whilst I'm desperate for him/us to get off to a flyer come August, I have a lingering fear he's not for us. Jesus I'm hoping I'm wrong, call it a nagging doubt but bringing in 4/5 decent signings am just not sure that that will suit what he's just inherited.

The positive with Sheehan is that he’s not committed to protecting possession at all costs. Too many coaches these days are stuck to that ideology which results in a shit watch (and doesn’t necessarily bring results either). If it makes trips to the Swansea.com more enjoyable, I’m all for it.

He’s improved the defence and also seems able to motivate the players, unlike at least his last 2-3 predecessors.

We’ll see. Recruitment is going to have a big bearing on whether we can kick on. Get that right and Sheehan has shown he can organise and motivate, which is half the battle.

Twitter is a binfire of swans fans as expected. Everyone knows more than the next person, everyone has contacts in the club, some are Swedish football manager experts. Football fans eh 🤣🤣🤣

UppaSheezy, good luck son, you’re going to need it 😬
What’s also interesting is how Twitter poster alignments sway and change. For example there were loads of relationships between the Martin fans and Watson is a wanker lot, now some of those have turned to be in favour of the Sheez, whilst some have remained in the Sheez out mob. It’s interesting how before they were all slapping each others backs and retweeting each other, now they don’t even interact with each other, it’s like they can’t see each other anymore. It’s absolutely wild.

Grown women offering to meet up and duke it out as well. Nothing stranger than football fans and their tribalism 🙃

His first permanent head coach role. I doubt very much he will feel that he can relax just yet. I think (hope) he will be giving the job all that he’s able to.

If he fails I don’t think it will be from a lack of commitment or effort.

It will be interesting to see who his backroom coaches are. There is no doubt that both have helped Sheehan, bit worried it might effect future results. But on flip we might get better coaching set up. Who knows. Either way, less drama, a manager who wants to evolve and move away from last few years and knows the team.

Massive congrats to Sheehan! What an achievement, done a sterling job since he’s taken over.

I was am still very skeptical of him getting the job but I completely back him now and hope he does the business for us. Really, really hope he delivers.

Time to look forward and not backwards.. can’t change the past but hopefully the owners and gaffer have learnt from past mistakes.

Well they are new owners and leadership but yes we shall see if they are any better than the previous lot over the next 3 months or so
