Ironically, not as much now that we're safe.

He had no shortage of other offers on the table. Either as a coach higher up or potentially as a manager elsewhere. Nothing to do with our league position. We had to make it worth his while staying.

Well Sheehan is place and he past the audition with quite a bit to spare.......I can't personally argue with the appointment.

He has demonstrated various strings to his bow since taking the role and I think the hard work will now start with recruitment.

Recruitment is an area that I believe we will see an improvement than in previous seasons. I believe we will have people who will be spending a lot more time working on things and will be a lot more thorough and relentless.
If rumours can be believed then we can expect a few surprises this summer so let's sign off Saturday with a good showing and look forward to what's about to unfold 😉😁

Not a peep from anyone if we'd signed the swedish fella and given him a 3 year deal.

Guys, the club either thinks Sheehan is the man for the job or they don't. If they do, he gets the same respect and backing as someone we brought from outside, including contractually.
I would have peeped.

I hate 3 year no consequence for failure deals. He can relax now, fail and get a whacking pay off. Unless there are performance conditions which I doubt, but hope for. It may well be common but it's still a bollocks way to run a business. See Erol Bulut and Vannie Driver. It may well be unavoidable, but I still hate it and refuse to try and rationalise it as OK.

Twitter is a binfire of swans fans as expected. Everyone knows more than the next person, everyone has contacts in the club, some are Swedish football manager experts. Football fans eh 🤣🤣🤣

UppaSheezy, good luck son, you’re going to need it 😬

Your last sentence is paramount, there is nothing worse than ending the season with a loss ( two in our case ) that would certainly take the gloss off the appointment and the feel good factor that's around the club atm.

Well I'd say ending the season relegated (Hi Cardiff!) is worse than ending the season with a loss, but I get where you're coming from. Personally I don't think it would do too much to dampen the optimism unless it was a really bad loss.

Do you honestly believe he's had other offers at Championship level?

Thank fvck that's sorted, he'll have a full pre season to iron out a few wrinkles, and get ready to kick on next season.
I think we should wish him every success, and get behind him..... i mean why wouldn't you.(that's rhetorical btw).👍

I think if the situation hadn't been sorted then without question it would be negligent of the likes of WBA and Norwich not to look in his direction?

Speaking of Norwich they’re giving it to young Jack Wilshere.
