The Guestbook

Have to say, always enjoyed the SCFC2 site, and always appreciated the work that goes into anything that keeps me informed about anything Swansea City fc related.
Great site, will be sadly missed. 👏👏👏

Here's a couple of Guestbook related photographs.

In this one, taken at Sabadell in July 2009, Pegojack is the bald geezer in the middle of the picture and the lad in the Swans kit and Barca cap is my son, Ed, who was 11 at the time. In the back row, Dai Smith is the one in the black shirt with his wife on his right. The guy peeping over Pego's head is the legendary poster known at that time as Richard of Warwick with his wife Alison of Warwick.

This one is of Jim White and his wife at the Napoli away game in Feb 2014

Bald geezer!!!!!
I'll have you know that hairstyle was ahead of it's time, Dave. It's now known as the Pep Guardiola....

Sitting on my left there is my good friend and Briton Ferry boy, Steve Causley, now sadly no longer with us. Several posters on here knew him well.

I thought you'd like that! 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂

SeaJack here, coming in from the SCFC2 cold.

It’s good to see the familiar names of the Guestbook forumites who regularly posted there appear on here.

What a weird feeling being met with a sudden, and unexpected message from the site owner, stating that the forum was no more a few days back now.

It was only the night before this, that it was up and running, and I was getting my usual fix of Swans related discussion, debate and camaraderie courtesy of the regular posters there.

It honestly felt like I’d been ditched unceremoniously by someone I’d become emotionally attached to.

Oh well, life marches on as they say, as does the epic saga that is the mighty Swans which will forever be in my heart.

Loads of new friends on here. Weirdos, misfits, drunks, one quim, one bald geezer that is reportedly from Spain (although he won't say), and a cheap trick. Hopefully you'll feel right at home.

Great to see you here Seajack.

Seems almost everyone has migrated over here, who are we still missing? MJL? Chris Sharman of Leeds?

Duncan Thomas, who I believe ran SCFC2, is the owner of a company called Majestic Media which creates websites and does digital photography, a lot of it for the club.

Hadn’t posted on the guestbook for many years, although I used it regularly back in the day (hence my username on here).

But this thread made me wonder if Moscow is still around (Nick). And if so, if he’s still in Moscow? Anyone know?

Oh, and is Warwick around any more on here?

Added - and talk of paltalk made me wonder about Jannick as well?

Nick Rees. Now in Palma de Mallorca in Spain

Thank you all for the warm welcome, both from the familiar posters that I recognise going back to the Guestbook days, and those of this forum.

I hope that Niallo also makes an appearance on here, because his academy match reports were legendary.

According to the closure message put up by the Guestbook’s owner, his invaluable contributions to the forum will continue to be posted on the academy section of the website, although the posts that he makes wouldn’t go amiss on this site as well.

Does anyone know him to speak to at all as, if he doesn’t decide to migrate to JackArmy over the coming days and weeks, I’d like to copy and paste his reports onto this site, with his permission of course.

I kid you not, when he describes what takes place on the field of play, it almost feels like you’re there yourself, such is the depth and detail of his reporting.

So Niallo, if you frequent this forum as a spectator, and see my post, please do consider contributing here, as I’m sure your reports will continue to be appreciated by your fellow Guestbookers, plus the JackArmy faithful that frequent this forum.👍

I haven’t noticed anyone correcting grammar or spelling for quite a while. Really miss Warwick.
