Dave Hodrien is the Chairman and lead investigator for Birmingham UFO Group, and the UK Deputy Representative for ICER, the International Coalition for Extraterrestrial Research. Over the last 15 years he has investigated hundreds of contact cases from around the world, and it is a part of the UFO enigma which continues to fascinate him. One of the aspects of contact which he finds particularly interesting is what is commonly referred to as "missing time". This is where individuals end up with either partial or full memory loss after experiencing contact. Sometimes these memories can be retrieved at a later date, either naturally or by using specific methods.

In this detailed lecture Dave will look into the science behind missing time, and discuss how it is possible to lose memories in the first place. He will provide some incredible examples from the cases he has directly investigated. He will cover how these missing memories can be retrieved, and will also discusss the various possibilities for why missing time occurs so regularly with contact.

Whether you're already familiar with the subject, or have not looked into it much before, Dave is certain you'll have a unforgettable time!

It seems that there aren’t many UFO enthusiasts on the forum.

Out of interest Darran, what kickstarted your interest in the subject?

Having seen many UFOs including the covered up famous Pentyrch UFO encounter, I thought about combining two of the many loves of my life together into a personalised registration currently available on DVLA (but thought against it for obvious reasons living in Cardiff...).

Funny thing we were talking about the fact that a lot of people don’t speak out because they fear getting ridiculed.
Anyone that knows me will knows that I couldn’t give a fuck and you couldn’t ridicule me if your life depended on it.

To answer your question my wife and I have seen some incredibly strange lights on more than one occasion that we can’t explain.
To add to that my wife has a talent of incredible intuition that again nobody can really explain.
A clinical psychologist at the University Hospital of Wales has also written a report on her.
Something actually happened last week which was utterly incredible and I was with her when she said something to me about someone else which would blow your mind apart.
She’s also written a book about it and i completely understand that there’ll be people that will sceptical but again I don’t care because I was there for just about every incident that happened.
Ridicule away. (not aimed at you)

Thanks Darran. Your candidness is much appreciated

I too have encountered some strange phenomena over the years that I still cannot explain to this day.

Sadly, the masses are largely primed to be very much dismissive of the notion of extraterrestrial or inter dimensional life visiting our planet in times gone by and up to the present day.

I find the mindset of experiencers and deniers equally as fascinating as the UFO’s and other paranormal events themselves.

Fear of ridicule does play a huge part with those who may have encountered something that they are unable to explain.

However, it’s becoming more and more difficult to ignore the fact that the chances are we are not alone in this universe and never were since time immemorial.

I couldn’t agree more,if I speak to someone about it I often say “now look up into the sky and think how far it goes and I’m not saying there’s something out there but how do you know there isn’t?”

I couldn’t agree more.

As Carl Sagan said, “If we are alone in the Universe, it sure seems like an awful waste of space.”

The vastness of Space is nigh on incomprehensible, and we’d be foolish indeed, to ignore its capacity to surprise us as a human race at every turn.

That book is a very good read. A few people have read my copy and they all said the same thing.
