He was looking good for a start in the first test, but with that being only 3 weeks away I think he'll struggle.Great to see Tomas score 2 tries for the Lions.
I just hope that hamstring injury is just a twinge.
They've got a replacement on standby. He was looking good for a start in the first test, but with that being only 3 weeks away I think he'll struggle.
Its not that its cause we only had two Welshmen there and to lose oneThey've got a replacement on standby.
Ben White on his way to replace him.And then there was one.
Tomos Williams is ruled out for remainder of tour due to hamstring injury.
I saw his Try on facebook and that's all I've seen of the game unfortunately, work got in the way as always.Dominant again, as they should be.
Jac Morgan MAN of the match.![]()
Owen Farrell was always guaranteed to be called up, he was probably out there anyway even if he wasn't with the squad,So another player is ruled out injured after being a stand-out in the warm up games so far. Commiserations to Elliot Daly who was looking great at fullback.
In response, Andy Farrell calls up his son, who isn't a full-back, is probably past his best, hasn't played international rugby for 2 years, and has just had a nightmare spell in France. Farrell says they have loads of full-backs, despite Kinghorn arriving late from Top 14 and Keenan being injured. Hmmm.
To be fair, the Beeb have got an article about why he was called up and it makes some good points. He's by all accounts a great person to have on tour, he demands high standards from everyone, etc.Owen Farrell was always guaranteed to be called up, he was probably out there anyway even if he wasn't with the squad,
The first part may well be true, but if so why didn't he go in first place and you're right an extra full back is needed, Farrell isn't quick enough to play full back either, there's three Half backs already there and enough centre's.To be fair, the Beeb have got an article about why he was called up and it makes some good points. I just would have thought they would have prioritised a full-back given how light they are at the position, but it's not like I know a fraction as much as Andy Farrell.
