I’ve never noticed that beforeDid you know that the soprano at the beginning of Rockaria was Mary Thomas from Swansea?
Also if you listen to the start of the song she fucks up for a split second and starts again but in production Lynne wanted to leave the mistake in.
Listen to it right now and you’ll never not hear it.
You’ll never unhear it.I’ve never noticed that before![]()
Just spoken to mate of mine hes on his way back from Manchester, where he saw them last night in the Co op arena.I saw them Sunday just gone in Birmingham with a friend of mine.
Excellent throughout the concert with hit after hit blasting out.
Jeff Lynne couldn’t play guitar, as he had broken his hand whilst travelling in a taxi in London, which narrowly missed another vehicle by slamming on the brakes I’m assuming.
He looked a little awkward without it, but as he explained why it was, he addressed the crowd with the words, “…but nothing could keep me away from you.”
Still he was on song and didn’t put a foot wrong.
The both of us were on a high after, so I’m so glad that we caught him live on his last ever tour.

He thoroughly enjoyed, albeit a little sad to see Jeff having to sit down for the last few songs, but fair play he is well in his 70s. He's also off to see them in Hyde Park on the weekend. Glad you enjoyed.
Gig tonight cancelled, due to illness
That's a shame, understandably disappointed I would be, one the other hand what can you do, the man is clearly not well, and in his late 70s, it's a tough situation. My mate drove up this morning and is on his way home fuming.

Hope he makes a full recovery, cant see him doing Hyde park this weekend neither, especially in this heat.
Under the circumstances, I feel very fortunate and blessed that I managed to get the chance to see him on song when I did.Just spoken to mate of mine hes on his way back from Manchester, where he saw them last night in the Co op arena.

Blessed indeed, they are one of my favourite bands. Time passes us by,and I didnt even realise Jeff Lynne age.Under the circumstances, I feel very fortunate and blessed that I managed to get the chance to see him on song when I did.
He did look a little lost at times on stage, but I put that down to him simply not having his guitar to play on during the gig.
There might have been something to it then but he stuck at it all the same.
Let’s just hope it’s not something really major and that he makes a full recovery in time.
I hope his dog is ok.Blessed indeed, they are one of my favourite bands. Time passes us by,and I didnt even realise Jeff Lynne age.
