• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Brilliant what a band, grew up with this band, proper music played by a proper band fantastic stuff.

One of the first 45 vinyl records I bought out of my hard earned paper round cash , was 10583 Overture this was way back 1972 ish , Roll Over Beethoven was another stormer , The Diary of Horace Wimp probably went under the radar , I loved the storytelling .

Even now when Mr Blue Sky in played on the car radio , it makes me smile .

Just reminded my Mrs of 39 yrs that she destroyed my favourite ELO album by bumping into the record player and scratching the the record back when we were courting.
She wasn't happy and said you always remember the horrible things

My Ex , after our divorce decided to throw all my treasured vinyl 33/45 into a skip during the break up including Out of the Blue , well you were not coming back were you , was her reasoning .

I am not bitter about it though , have let it go .

Time is by far their greatest album.

Spotify is your friend mush.

It's a strange one. ELO were always a band I thought I should have liked but never did. Know lots of folk who do though. Maybe meeting Jeff Lynne once and thinking he was a prick didn't help 😂😂😂
