Snoop Dogg and the Swans: A Commercial Masterstroke, But Beware the Wrexham Echo Chamber

AM I the only one who thinks that photo makes the shirt look like shyte, with the hoodie distorting the neck and leaving a question mark over whether the neckline is V shaped or circular?
The shirt looks like it is made of polyester
I don't think the hoodie did it any favours mind you

I like Snoop but fail to see what this brings to a largely pathetic shitshow of business acumen regarding this seasons kit release...The fact he says at the end "oh yeah and by the way this is the new.." as an afterthought speaks volumes...

Personally as someone who wore the 96/7 home and away shirts with pride I think this Joma effort is very underwhelming and a bit crap - just a rehash of last seasons....

The fan mock up I saw online with the gold and black trim and fades was far better in my humble opinion...

Maybe the South Stand will be full of dog hoody wearers this coming season in line with our new Swansea youth culture 🫣😉

Take a look at Snoops online presence. His reach is literally enormous. Also for someone with zero acumen his net worth is well north of $100 million

People reading way too much in to this, just let the Wrexham thing play out while it lasts. The broadcasters, social media and the press are obviously lapping it up, and it’s not aimed at a bunch of middle-aged farts on a mostly forgotten message board anyway. Leave it to the kids, and all the grumpy fuckers can give it a steer and be content in the knowledge that it’ll all be forgotten again as soon as Wrexham get regulated.

No I get that and he's got millions of followers on Instagram, but that won't necessarily translate into shirt sales. The holiday/close season is where the bulk of the revenue from shirts is made and we have really f'd up badly on that front - there's no getting away from it.

If he wants to stick some of his $$$ into the Swans then of course I'm up for that and maybe next seasons shirt will be made from a Hemp-based material and he could market that for us..!;)

Modric has increased our worldwide profile in the right area, namely football, and I expect that connection to be more significant over the next few seasons with more signings like Inoussa to follow.

This Snoop/Swans v Reynolds/Wrexham beef cringe made it onto the 'top headlines' section of the main ESPN website in the US yesterday, so I guess we got what we wanted out of this 'Dogg included' stunt.
