Summer Transfer Window

Our school was in Port Talbot we all attended. Our grudge match was against Margam who had Colin Pascoe playing for them. Maybe originally from Bridgend.
I may well have misremembered to be honest. I remember we had a keeper who was from Bridgend but it must have been someone else.
Did you go to Sandfields? My aunty was a dinner lady there for years.

It was yes.. enjoyed playing our games in the shadow of the BP plant. I could have followed them but lacked the physicality needed back then to progress.

Would you rather let an 18 year old from the Academy have an absolute shocker because they're coming in cold to the Championship standard and then be shot because confidence is gone or let them go out and build confidence at a lower level to be able to come back and serve a genuine role for us at a smaller step up? For me I'd rather let our youth get valuable time in a lower league than stick them in the fire of the Championship.

Specifically about keepers because of the kind of position it is - other positions yeah let the youth try but being the keeper between the sticks is an unforgiving place to be.

I've already said I don't disagree with the general idea and like most on here I know nothing about the keeper we signed and yes we cannot spend a fortune on 3rd choice.

But Murphy's law, if we sign someone whose never played above League Two at the age of 35, he'll end up having to play some games. Hope if that ends up happening, we don't regret paying just a bit more for a higher level keeper as cover.

Most would like to see Fish go, if we had a offer do we sell?

Regards the Goalkeeper situation.
Real question will be if Fisher leaves, does this keeper then become no 2 or will they source a replacement of better quality of this guy from Barrow as no 2?
That might be the real discussion.

True. 1 year left on contract. Wouldn't be suprised if Fisher goes. I know some people see potential in him, but I see nothing. He has gloves like they have been dipped in butter. Anything is better than Fisher. Also I have 0 issues with us sending youth goal keepers out on loan.

Last year of contract they must be 100% trying to sell him.
