That post you replied to was positive and complimentary of the club.
I just don't expect the club to be hitting 6th gear this season.
It won't just happen over night but if they carry their good work on then I do believe we will have a chance to challenge for the top 6 in a couple of seasons.....this season is probably too early in my opinion.
We've all been saying that since the beginning of the season.

Glad the penny seems to have dropped with you.

Worth and his team have rebuilt the squad to a level that has excited the fanbase more than any other window in years. That’s the reality of it.

Me and my group look forward to games on a weekend now instead of it being a chore. They are enjoyable again.

We've spent the most since our premier league days, expectations should be high, it'll be disappointing if we finish 11th to 24th.

People have said it's a rebuild, exactly like 2018/19, that was 6 years ago, and the fans are still saying it's a rebuild year, it'll be 2029/30 and they'll trot out the good old rebuild line, teams like Bristol City and Preston have been rebuilding for years in this division. The time is now, is the outlook we should have

Of course you have part truth in that, one eye should always be on the hope that we can push for promotion but you should also be realistic as a base.
The last thing we want is a season where we have a solid finish and then the agenda turns on the owners, recruitment team, manager and players for failing when they have actually had a good season.

Agreed that the stars should be the target but a sense of understanding should also not be ignored. We always then use the previous season as one to push on from.

If anyone turns on the manager, players and owners for a top ten finish this season needs to go and follow another team.

It's all on the owners expectations, if we're in the playoffs in January and we back Sheehan, and we end up 10th, you'll have the usual realistic patsy saying it's a good season, (then the owners get rid of Sheehan) and it'll be the good old "rebuild" posters coming out of the woodwork making excuses after excuses, in the real world, if you're not making targets you'll get booted out in a month, footballers don't understand true reality

It’s certainly a rebuild though isn’t it. Look at the player turnover rate, must be 20+ outs and ins. Will take time for them to become a functioning and smooth unit. Signs are good.

Absolutely it is. Anyone expecting miracles overnight need to temper their expectations.

Brand new squad, managers first full season in charge, this is definitely a season with an eye on next year and the years after that.

One or two on here will want instant success and one or two enjoy complaining for the sake of complaining.

This keeps getting said, over and over and over.. until it's 10 years, 12 years, 15 years, currently it's 6 years and people are still trotting it out, maybe next year, maybe next year.. it's like a revolving door of stupidity

It's worth remembering who our owners were for the majority of the last 10 years.

This was said in Potters reign, Coopers reign, Martin's reign and we're still here in the 10 year rebuild process, when is the penny going to drop

I don’t agree. The big rebuild was this summer, it will be quieter each summer from here with less and less turnover of players. That’s how we know we have had a good window. Can’t imagine we will want to move too many first teamers on because they look genuine mustard!

We won’t be having a player turnover of 20+ every summer.

Like I said previously, it's worth remembering who the owners were during this period.

Excuse no1 from the rebuild and excuse department brigade, whatever your opinions on previous regimes, they were pumping in 20 million every year, even though it felt like they weren't
