• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

I don’t know much about them in Wales tbh. We get no coverage of Welsh events here.

But they’d be pushing at an open door here if they could only wake up,
I know.

My view on this is that the one nation tories, blairite Labour and sdp Lib Dems come together and form a new centre party.

It’s crying out for it.

The fear I got rightly or wrongly is that they won't differ much from Labour's policies, I hope not, this is a massive opportunity for Plaid to step out far and away from Labour after supporting them for the last few years or more and be a solid standalone party for Wales at last.
Only one way to find out. The last thing Wales needs is another 4 years of Morgan and her gang.

Here’s a question, play along. If Labour and Reform were the only choices next May and you had to cast a vote, who would you vote for?

That's exactly the ground the Lib Dems should be filling. If they made the centre they're own they'd be soaring in the polls. They'd get vote.

Over the next six months we have to see some clear ground between Plaid and Labour in Wales, they can't just be a pro indy Labour. Park independence, drop the 20 mph speed limit, pledge to build the M4 relief road and they are home and dry.

I'll be holding my nose and voting for whoever is most likely to beat reform.

I love the term "one nation Tories", like they're somehow the "acceptable" face of Toryism.

All it means is they are slyer and better at masking their true intentions (ie don't gaf about the working class) better than the outwardly hostile ones, who at least don't try to hide it.

Okay mate if you say so

As we've pointed out, there was a bigger vote for left of centre parties than Right. There is no PC in England and this could be the biggest opportunity for the Libs for 4 generations. If you were at the Labour training camps, there is a large amount of backslapping over the hard work done - basically trying to rally the troops but social media is working so hard against the party and it feeds the trolls who are going to vote for Reform. I am hoping that the electorate in England will do for the Libs what the Caerphilly residents did for Plaid. I will say that there was a huge amount of campaigning in the Caerphilly area by Labour and that may well have worked in favour of Plaid as well.

Excellent post

That’s assuming Lib Dem and Plaid voters are on the left. Which of course is patently incorrect.

I have a number of friends who are Plaid supporters and they are very much not on the left but favour an independent Wales.

The Lib Dems have a number of right wing supporters and former MPs. It’s not a lefty party. This is a common mistake.

Voters second vote could be critical in the Senedd May elections to keep Reform out

It was a common mistake 15-20 years ago. It’s not now.
