They were very poor and another on the list of teams that haven’t been able to play their own game down here.
A lot of that is down to Matos’ gegenpress which is hurrying the opposition to play balls under pressure and resulting in them looking worse than usual. Even Coventry struggled to impose themselves on us and we should have got something there with better finishing.

I’m just a bit worried about player fatigue, when they carry out that level of constant pressing.
Do we have enough cover on the bench, especially after injuries and suspensions.

A good time to play Blackburn.
The reality they are having an injury crisis.
They are missing 13 players , last night gave first starts to 3 players .
They have more players in rehab than training on the pitch .

Think how we would struggle with so many first teamers missing ?
They did OK the forward players had some good moments .
Whether when they have their injured players back they have enough quality to stay up ?

There were 3 middle aged Blackburn fans in the Harvester scoffing at our team sheet saying they’d never heard of any of our players. This became apparent when one bet on Ronald to score at any time 🤣🤣🤣🤣

While I don't blame them for lack of knowledge of another team in the division (I'm not sure I knew any of their players looking at the line-up), you'd have to be pretty dull to not have heard of the then joint highest scorer in the division...

Indeed. You would have thought that they'd have taken some notice when we beat them on their own ground including a worldie from Franco.

More despair for them tonight, they've dropped into the bottom three, courtesy of Pompey's hard fought point at Watford this evening.

I watched the whole match. It was played in horrible conditions throughout. Watford had a slight edge in terms of skill but Pompey made up for it with guts and fighting spirit. They look like a club determined to stay up, unlike Blackburn, who were awful last night.

As for Watford, they've got one or two tricky customers, but I think we can come away with three points later this month if we're somewhere near our best.

They were that poor they managed to score against us. Just imagine if we had a long list of injured players on the bench as they had last night.
