Great defensive effort, considering Ireland thumped the saes at twickers, a step in the right direction just need to get the creative bit sorted
Great post and yes very encouraging, just need to stop this kicking the ball away endlessly and without purpose, after the first 10 mins tonight I was fearing a rout, but fair play Wales rose to the occasion, not sure why Williams got carded, Mrs has hurt her back so I was trying to watch the game and clearing up after tea.
Ireland should have had at least one yellow for their infringements near their own line

We need to gain territory to win games, we had opportunities with penalties but f*cked up our line out or scrum at crucial stages.. twice we had the ball, lost possession in the Irish half and they scored twice, and won the game because of it.. an improvement, but if you want to start beating these teams you've got to have composure and care with your decision making when in their half.. slow down a bit and focus to win that line out or scrum

I agree, I thought the ref was too lenient there, I thought a yellow card was inevitable.

I think Williams was carded for a high tackle. In the melee that led up to the Irish try, he seemed to have his arms around the neck of his Irish counterpart in his efforts to stop him, although both were virtually on the floor at the time.

Tonight's loss was on me.

As soon as I turned the game on (as the Wolves, Liverpool game was ending) we had a player yellow carded and Ireland score a try.
🤣🤣🤣 that always happen to me if I see the scum are losing, I’ll put it on the tv and Sod’s Law they go and score to level up

Williams got carded because he was in the middle of a ruck by our try line, the Irish fella picked up the ball and started running. Williams grabbed him while he was still on the floor in the ruck. If it wasn’t so close to our line, he might have got away with just a penalty.

Yep, me too.

I'm a proper Jonah when it comes to sporting results.
The biggest surprise for me last night was Liverpool beating Wolves :ROFLMAO:
Oh and I didn't have a can of Guinness, got so engrossed in the Rugby that I just didn't bother and the thought had gone once the game finished :ROFLMAO:

Tomas with his experience should be bringing 10,12 and 13 along with encouragement, but it seems like he hasn't the nouse to do so or doesn't trust them so kicks ball away into the hands of the opposition, he doesn't do that for Gloucester because he obviously trusts his 10,12 and 13, we've had a long list of quality 9's but unfortunately Tomas doesn't look like carrying that trend on.
Tbh I think our 9’s have been decent. But the last really good one we had was Dwayne Peel

Haha, suppose that's a good sig for Welsh rugby. They've been driving people to drink of late 🤣

I watched both Liverpool and Wolves games this week and the performances were like night and day for Liverpool.

Phillips?

The backs were a mess last night. Dan Edwards isn’t ready yet, and he will suffer for it like CostCo has. The centres are all wrong. Hawkins is not there and James should be at 12 with a proper 13 outside him. We need to find a full back so that Zammit can go to wing and Adams can go to the glue factory.

Dickson is the worst nightmare of a ref for Wales, and that’s saying something with the competition. He was never letting Ireland lose that if he could decide it. Two of their tries should not have stood and they should have seen yellow.

That said, better team won.
