• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I've had a few run ins with this guy of late. Why am I not surprised there are others out there. I've described him as THE Mr Passive-Aggressive and "Last Word Smurph". I guess that's overly polite of me 😊

I'd never thought of putting him on ignore - but hey that makes so much sense. I'll join the Club 😊

Warra prat he is 😂

Prat is putting it mildly.

Name calling and putting a poster on ignore, how grown up 🤷🏻‍♂️

It'll be great if Vip signs new. For one it'll mean stability and goals, and two, if later he does decide he wants to go ( hopefully after maintaining goal stats), then maybe an even bigger transfer fee.

Win-win for us, if he still goes this summer we are negotiating from a very strong position and if we keep him we have a 20 goal striker on our books for the next couple of years.

My only question is, where is the money coming from to buy players this summer? Will Gally be off?

Overall, this is fantastic business by us, nice to see our club acting this way.

It would appear our owners have bigger ambitions and deeper pockets than the previous ones.

wow that is huge, congrats Zan well deserved! £15m-£20m suddenly becomes £30m+ :D

Think we’ll probably still lose him this summer but at least we’ll get top dollar unlike some players who have moved on in the past. Can’t ask for much more from the owners than that in a situation like this. It’s exactly what progressive clubs do.

Excellent news.

I honestly thought he’d be out through the exit door as soon as the final ball of the season was kicked against Charlton, although there is still a risk of this happening admittedly.

Either way, we have the best of both worlds, in the shape of more goals on the pitch for next season should he stay, or even greater leverage should he go elsewhere.

Whichever option he chooses, I’ll be wishing him well and good luck for the future, wherever that future takes him.
