Feel like Galbraith has the potential to be better than Grimes eventually but isn’t quite there yet. Hope we can keep him this summer and have a full season of him in the midfield.

He wouldn’t be able to carry us, we’ve got too many other problems and especially the lack of attacking threat. But he is obviously good enough for a top of the table side. He always was and we got weaker when he left. I’d rather have him than Stamenic. I think I’d be in the minority though.
Sold Downes and Grimes and kept Fulton, enough said really.

Yep. As bad as selling Piroe and buying Jerry Yates 🙈

We let some great players go and bought some right crap in the last 3-4 years. We did a bit better last summer though. Galbraith was a steal.

Not that I watched him much. Other Cov players stood out more. Went unnoticed but stopped Widdell scoring. Knocked in the 2nd goal to turn the game. Plus 40 goal difference says a lot about the overall team. The Cov manager has a lot to learn about playing in midfield at the highest level. Stealing a living still. Lets see if Matt holds his place in the Prem. The last bastion really. Matt deserves a chance. Very consistent.

A lack of ability was never Grimes' problem here. The fact that you could count the number of games in most seasons where he was truly influential on the fingers of one hand was. Nowhere near as important as his cheerleaders (and based on the player turnout for his departure, he himself) thought.

A major letdown despite being given every opportunity to be otherwise for the best part of a decade.
