• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

13 years on, and I bet neither of them score 5…..

Interesting to see the Sky feed on ITV though

This is a terrible final so far. Two best teams in the country apparently. Arsenal especially are a grim watch.

They are awful, absolutely nothing about them is enjoyable from their style of play to their manager.

In some ways that final was such a damp squib. Certainly compared to the Chelsea game (particularly the one at Stamford Bridge which was unforgettable).
It was - in such a weird way. Beforehand we were anticipating high balls and physical battles in the box. Anything could have happened was the worry. But after the first 10 mins or so you could see we were in total control. Big Wembley pitch, classic Swansea Way passing etc. Then after the first goal I think I've never been so relaxed throughout in an important game as that one. Felt really strange though. But entirely acceptable given a major trophy was at stake.

I actually felt a bit sorry for the Bradford fans, they had such an epic route to get there, fair play.

I do recall in particular their ironic cheering when they had a corner in the 80th minute.

Still, despite that freezing cold, a great memory to add to others. For me four in particular, Preston 3 -1; Leeds 5-1; Reading 4-2; QPR 5-0. Many others though 👍

Agree with all of that.

I also agree with your list. Plus Forest in the playoffs. Cardiff years ago in the Welsh Cup at the Vetch. Arsenal away in the old First Division when we won 2 nil. A night game against Southampton when Keegan was playing, the second replay against Crystal Palace at Ninian Park (a ‘neutral venue’) in the cup.

Valencia away. Hull home.
