• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Used to be such a big deal years ago, now you hardly here anything about it at all. I would have to change about 15-20 timepieces twice a year. My wife had at least a dozen watches plus the clocks in the house, now she only has 1 watch, an apple fitness watch which adjusts automatically.

The clocks change themselves these days, at least the important ones do. This is why we don’t notice it. The cooker and microwave clock can read whatever they want, I won’t be setting my schedule by them.

An independent Cymru won’t be having any of this nonsense, ddim amser. 🌼

We should be on the same time as Portugal and Spain really

Do they engage in this nonsense?

You can't beat a nice mechanical watch mind.👍

That’s very true. I have two nice watches and this will make me go and look at what time they tell. I’ve grown out of the habit of wearing them since the onset of Garmin and Apple Watch.
I'm a very traditional watch wearer and would never leave home without one, I feel naked without one. I'm a bit of a watch hoarder and over the years have amassed quite a collection, most are quite run of the mill, and bought just on aesthetics not because they are expensive, although I have a few Swiss ones which are kept for best, the rest are daily beaters. Not got into smart watches as yet.🙂👍

I was a bit carefree with watches; losing them and leaving them laying around. My wife then spent out on a big birthday of mine and my attitude changed. The smart watch thing came a bit later when I started cycling again.

I haven't worn a watch since around 1980 I think.
