• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Here’s the point, I haven’t seen or read any evidence that you ‘end up in the system’ at airport level, let alone country or Schengen zone level.
Fair point but I would assume that the ease with which I got into and out of Portugal 2 weeks ago using the egates while the majority were queueing for the 'old' method, is evidence that my prints and facial scan taken in the same airport in December are 'in the system' even if it's just in Faro. I won't know if it works elsewhere until I try and have no plans to as yet but in 2 days time all the dots are supposed to be joined up everywhere and my data should now be in the system as a whole and not just in Faro or even just in Portugal.

I will be back in Bologna on 19th April so let’s see how hooked up it is then. If it doesn’t work at airport perimeter then we can forget a wider joined up solution.

We're off to Portugal in the summer, I hope its trouble free at airport we went to Majorca last year did the face recognition thing, but this biometrics thingy is different I expect?

Was thinking about that earlier, I'm not sure going with Tui I always book with them, just checked on emails Algarve Faro Airport
Well, I hope you get in & out ok but you will almost certainly have to have your prints & facial scan done and the size of any queues will depend on how many others will also need to have their biometrics done while those that have already done so will probably wizz through the egates. If you were struggling to remember your destination airport though, I won't ask where you're staying :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
