• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

I just saw this on the Swansea City DSA Facebook page
It's special education week, autism, ADHD, dyslexia... and the month of awareness for all these difficulties.
In honor of all the children who struggle everyday to succeed and their parents who do whatever they can to help them daily. 👊👊🫶🏻

Indeed, well said.
My wife was a teacher of blind and visually impaired children and was responsible in Swansea for babies from birth/diagnosis, helping parents to cope and assessment of the best educational placement going forward.
She had children who were severely damaged and vision issues were only one of a myriad of problems, right through to blind and visually impaired children who were successful at A level and went on to higher education.

As a parent of a child with ASD then support is absolutely vital from schools, teachers and LSAs in conjunction with parents. I am ever thankful for the team at Calday Grammar in Wirral who took my son through to 'A' level success and just completing year 2 at UWE.

That’s correct, Mutey. Part of my wife’s teaching time is dedicated to intervention; helping those who need that little bit of extra care and attention through the secondary school years. She gets enormous satisfaction from it. Incidentally, it was mental health awareness week last week. Another great initiative to promote in schools.

Daughter is a TA in a special needs school in Penlan and alternates occasionally to Clase and Dyfatty. She loves the job and is totally dedicated to it, we are very proud of her.
My wife is, though in a mainstream school. Primarily she works one-to-one with SEN kids and lower ability maths teaching.
