• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Was it Curtis Davies who scored 2 for them, including the gift wrapped penalty?

Craig Davies scored the winner - Tate gave away the earlier penalty bringing down Davies but can't remember if he then took it. Have a feeling he did.....We were tamping on the way home as it was a game we should have got at least a draw from..

PS - The reason I know it was Craig Davies was because one of our mob worse for drink kept saying "Craaaaiiiiig Davies - Proper Bo !" everytime he was on the ball. Got a bit tiresome after 90 minutes...

Bristol City in league 1 we won 7 -1 at the Liberty having only been there a few weeks, I can’t remember who their manager was but he sat in the dug out after the game with his head in his hands for ages. Kevin Mcloed scored a hat trick and that was basically the end of him, Leon Britton also scored, i think i have seen every goal he ever scored for us live.
They're manager at that game was ex defender Bryan Tinnion. I remember seeing him slumped and totally lost in the away dugout after the game. This was after the Bristol fans had left and players off the pitch!

Remember Kev doing the "swimaway" nearly full length of the East.
Remember the wurzels weren't impressed.
Was it 1-0 to us at half time? Or may have been 1-1
My memory is shot nowadays.
Bits of memories from every part of life.

Drawing 0-0 with Bristol City on a Friday night to avoid going 1st Division to 4th in successive seasons.

Back in the 80s I know, but was up there with the despair of that Exeter game for me.
Jimmy Rimmer & Paul Price basically playing the last 10 mins just passing the ball back and forth to each other. At least that's how my 11 year old self remembers it!

Marcus Bean.. loved a yellow card he did

Palace result last night got me thinking of this game

Not the best, but the best I could find

I will never forget the Scunthorpe league cup game

Down to 7 with a player injured (Besian - RIP)

Aye, just lay him down on the sideline and dont play over that part of the field

Tate sittting on the hoardings talking to the (non-existant) crowd about wtf was going on
