No need to spin it, minutes on the pitch is far more important than “appearances”. There is no reason for the club to regret signing him other than his unfortunate injury and I won’t be moved on it. O’Dea was sacked, but not for that.

Inoussa was brought in likely with the same thinking of the other foreign lads, to take time to adapt to the league before contributing in the second half of the season. He got injured and similar to Idah, their last contribution was to score. Key chance to kick on stolen away by injury. That’s...

Exactly that, the club have signed players for now, for cover and for the future. We now are in the position where we have a squad, or at least a framework of players we can build on that are ours and actual assets in key development ages, not to mention the addition of Matos himself who despite...

No, the reason is because they are doing what they were brought in to do as I said. The offshoot of that is that the club is now having its best season since the parachute years. I thought the comment was self explanatory regarding the club likely not regretting a single transfer for footballing...

You can disagree, but we are having the best season since the parachute payments. I don’t think anyone within the club would take back a single transfer for footballing reasons outside of Benson. Thats not any sort of spin. Santos was a 4th choice CB in a team where the starting CB’s play pretty...

Our hit rate on transfers has been a huge improvement and a large part of why we have seen a big upturn in the second half of the season as players have started to bed into the league. I would say only Benson hasn’t done what he was brought in to do. Idah and Inoussa have been injured so hard to...

We aren’t pretending Liam Cullen isn’t a striker now are we? 132 appearances as CF vs 31 as an AM and our top goalscorer last season..

Do we have the most negative and reactive fans in the league? Has to be right up there.

I think everyone has been backed properly. We will always be a club that needs to trade to thrive, I highly doubt we will be dropping the millions required on prime aged no risk Championship players.

I don’t understand that question at all.

Charlton are 18th and Ipswich are 4th after 35 games, that means that the Charlton win is rare and Ipswich win is common. I don’t think anyone is giving up prior to the game, but after the defeat it’s easy to see why. Their left back will cost double what our starting 11 did.

Why aren’t Charlton winning the league then? They are 18th. If they can beat Ipswich 3-0 then they should win every game then?

Agree, we are where we should be under Matos. Mid table budget, mid table squad value and in his 18 games he has us performing around 10th. We have no right to be going away from home and beating teams like Ipswich. It’s possible, but anyone who expects it is having a giraffe. To put them in...

We are doing perfectly fine. More points at this stage of the season than any season since the parachute years. This was a season of major rebuild and the foundations are in place. We came up against a side with a squad value of 200m and were comprehensively beaten. It will happen now and again...

I believe if the league started when he took over from his first real game in charge, we would be top 10.

Spend is only relative to the squad you started with. If Man Utd come down and don’t spend anything, should they be relegated?

To have three teams relegated from the Premier League struggle to break the top two suggests that it’s more than just a poor relegated team though. Put it this way, I don’t see any evidence of this league being worse, only the opposite. Ipswich have a cracking side.

Yes that’s the point im making, the league is getting better and money is flowing into it. Wrexham and Birmingham have top 6 budgets I would say, which I can’t remember ever happening before from L1 promoted sides - then you have the parachute teams. You can loosely tell the strength of a...
