I think he needed a full season of men’s football at a good level. He’s getting that now and it’s a win-win. Casey and Parker should be covering Key.

What are we really expecting from Matos....

Robbo’s summary yesterday was roughly “loads of positives, outstanding keeper, outstanding counter press, playing some really good football, new manager who looks like he’s the real deal BUT… we have to start creating more chances” Can’t argue with that.

Robbo just slagged him on Radio Wales. “Refs are wise to him and he goes down when he should be shooting or whipping a cross in”

Millwall commentator “if you’re the Swans manager, you’ll be looking at the left hand side at half time as we’re having a field day over there”

He did well there. That had ‘Cullen arriving late into the box’ written all over it

    The press and the passion

My wife just said she’s shocked at how many kids have had half season tickets for Christmas. These aren’t kids (and parents) that normally go to the Swans. The passion that Matos has injected looks like it could be paying instant dividends, on and off the pitch. Love it!!

    The press and the passion

The golden years seem like a lifetime ago but the one thing that I always remember was our work rate. The Evening Post always posted stats on how much ground we covered, I recall us always having Leon, Joe and a few others in the top of the pops list. First to everything, movement and options...

    Battle of the loanees

I think we will. Heard on the grapevine we’ve got huge hopes for him and the young keeper that was/is out on loan.

Could Idah play the number 10 role and fill the gigantic void that’s been there since Pato left? He’s got a good touch on him and he can move a bit

Friday night was brilliant, the club nailed it. Under Matos, even when we’re a goal down, the mood on and off the pitch is “we’re going to get one back here”. It makes such a massive difference.

Swansea City Christmas Review 2025: A Season of Hope, Turmoil and Quiet Revival

The players had totally given up on Williams and that Portsmouth game on NY day was the absolute pits. Going down. Sheehan saved us and won me over, then completely blew it this season. Alan needs to have a good think about what went wrong as Matos was able to come in, without any of his back...

Done my end of year homework and have come up with Barnsley’s Reyes Cleary as my no1 target for January.

    Marko Stamenic

There’s a few of our players who could do with a kick up the ass when it comes to running with the ball. In the first half, it opened right up for Franco on the left, the whole West stand were shouting “run” “drive” “go!!!”. He could easily have burst into the box but ended up stuck in 2 minds...

    Deluded isn’t the word.

Apart from Parkinson out, that’s pretty much my summary of last night 😂
