Yalcouye came in with a big rep and it was considered a coup to get him at the time. There was no way he was signed to be back up.

    DOF

Just catching up on this thread. I've no idea in what context this was said by the owners so thanks Mamaswan for the info. Maybe they'd had a few - maybe it was tongue in cheek? Either way, I don't see the harm in them having some confidence in themselves. They won't get every transfer right...

Why Swansea City’s Director of Football Move Is the Turning Point the Club Desperately Needs

What's Birch up to? That's the last time I felt e were actually being run half properly. Wonder who they're looking at or if they have any names in mind? Get this appointment right and we could be cooking in the next 12-18 months, especially if they back Matos as much as they did Sheehan.

I wasn't there but have seen snippets online. Was anyone there who could let us know what was covered?

    Josh Key

I wasn't there but apparently at the fans forum last night, Matos said something along the lines of we all need to get behind him (Key) and give him our support. Again, context is needed but it sounds like Matos is planning on sticking by him. I'd personally give him some time out and utilise...

Stoke are on the same run as us in their last 6 won 2, lost 4. Definitely can go there with confidence up.

I'd recall Congreave ahead of him. Not even a regular for Portsmouth

I'm also surprised Yalcouye didn't get any minutes on Saturday, when we needed more energy in that 10-15 mins. Big reputation, hasn't delivered.

The January 2026 Transfer Window Thread - Now Closed!

Can't get over how bad Benson has been, has looked dis-interested from day 1. Him 'warming up' with the other subs on Saturday should tell you all you need to know. I'd send him back now if I could.

I wouldn't say so. But in his cameo's so far, he's looked very uninterested. Hopefully a change in manager & ideas will start to see him flourish, as we all know he can bring quality to the team.

Come on. We were all creaming ourselves that we'd upgraded significantly on Darling in the summer. He might be going through some rough form - who isn't but he's a much better defender that Darling was. He doesn't fall over the ball looking for free kicks every 5 mins for a start.

Bianchini? He's on loan at Portsmouth. 11 games, no goals, 1 assist.

Swansea City 1 Derby County 2: Vitor Matos Watches Swans Shambles Show

It must be frustrating for someone like Yalcouye who obviously needs minutes but then sees Fulton playing ahead of him. Same for Inoussa & Widdell seeing Eom & Ronald, no mater how badly they play, they will start the next game.

    Relegation? Should We Be Worried?

'I don’t even think Derby were good' I think this can be argued for most of the teams we've played this season, with the odd exception. We've just been so shite, we've made every other team look like world beaters.

Vitor Matos Named Swansea City Boss as New Era Begins at the Swansea.com Stadium

He's been in charge since yesterday afternoon. The players knew he was coming in on Saturday & look how they played then. I think people have to temper their expectations tonight. Look to see how he settles in this week and go from Saturday.
