• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Great angle. Keeper's like "Got this all covered, ball comes through this gap it's coming straight at me, so we're fine th............and he scored.."

Which Swan would you choose as your avatar?

it is based on volume. The Reaction Score leader-board is the real list of legends (he says to try and stay relevant...)

    Vipotnik - Top Scorer (Championship)

Yeah, Andrew from North Hill I think. I didn't want to name names as we've all got posting skeletons in our cupboard/those in glass houses etc.

The comm on the stream I was watching was talking about those teams as if we were playing Real, Barca and Man City. 3 run of the mill Championship teams who we've seen with our own eyes are nothing special. Confidence and momentum is often the difference and we're above all those teams in the...

    Vipotnik - Top Scorer (Championship)

I also think he will attract interest from the continent too, maybe a Bundesliga team with some cash. There was reported interest from a Serie A team a while back I think. Not sure how real that was.

I'm still reeling from the 'we should sell for anything over 3 million' take from when the Jan window opened. Hopefully there will be some set of circumstances that will allow him to be here next season, but if he have to sell, surely we'd be looking at 15 million minimum, right?

    Galbraith

Lovely footballer, but I'd be surprised if a Premier League club came in for him, more likely a big spending Championship team with parachute payments. I think those waiting for him to be moved back to midfield need to get used to the fact he's our RB and he ain't moving from there. I think...

    NFL 2025

I assume the relative irrelevance of the SB in the UK means that as long as you avoid a couple of websites during the day Monday you can avoid knowing the outcome until you have a chance to watch a replay?

    NFL 2025

Yeah, I certainly wouldn't rule it out Let's be honest, to borrow a phrase from the other football, it could be argued that 'your name is on the cup' this year after some of the circumstances you've found yourself in. The jibes about the 'easy' schedule are no doubt overdone and probably...

Sham, what's your pessimism level for this one? Not worth turning up? Might get lucky if the Seahawks get food poisoning? Or are you allowing yourself some positivity on this one?

All fun and games. Reminds me of the 'Mark Gower - most creative midfielder in Europe' thing a while back.

    Leo Walta

No, it's all good stuff. I was just picturing some eager young Finnish football fan coming and seeing 10 pages on Leo Walta and leaving slightly disappointed, but knowing a lot more about our C20th scottish transfer dealings:LOL:

    Leo Walta

Outsiders coming to this thread to learn about the reaction to Leo 'Messi' Walta's signing might be a little disappointed, but they're certainly getting a good education on 80/90's Swansea defenders at least.

There's always a healthy unease as a football fan when you're facing an opponent with a record like this: But, as long as we play to the levels we've been seeing recently we should be coming out the other side with 3 pts. Remember us playing Rotherham at home a couple of years ago when they...

    Leo Walta

I remember Keith Walker fondly. Nickname of 'Sky' if I remember. I remember him as a centre-half. Great partnership with Mark 'Chopper' Harris. I do remember him playing in midfield, but can't remember the timing - whether it was right after he joined or later when needed (or both). Left and...

Him going on strike is barmy mind. How many players in the world have the power to just go on strike because you don't like the transfer business your club has done and seemingly not care what anyone thinks or have any fear of significant punishment from anyone. What a whopper.

The January 2026 Transfer Window Thread - Now Closed!

I can understand not signing a striker in this window when looking at the big picture, but we really are just crossing our fingers and hoping Vipotnik doesn't get injured until Idah is back (March?), and that's not a reassuring scenario to be in.
