• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

    Swans under - 18s

Someone on the old SCFC2 forums used to have some good insight on the youth teams; the board only shutdown last year, and a lot members came over here, but I'm not sure if the Youthful Eye made the journey

Was going to comment that his history isn't exactly inspiring, but he was playing for Gremio at 18, must be decent

The despair of a Blackburn fan

The worst thing to say about Blackburn, is that we finished the last 20 minutes of that game with Joel Ward, Jay Fulton, Ollie Cooper, and Liam Cullen on the pitch whilst still looking the comfortably better side

Do we need another striker as a priority? Idah returning would leave us with Vip as clear first choice, Idah as rotation, Cullen... just sort of there, and Wales presumably going on loan?

I'm a bit confused by PSR anyway, but I don't understand how Wrexham have managed to spend 10x the cost of every other team in their league for three years. It's not like they've had high resales, as nearly all of their signings are players in their prime

    Vipotnik - Top Scorer (Championship)

But your point is based on nothing? We've never routinely sold our players for pennies and played the 'woe is me, we're too small to compete' card. Piroe, Bony, Ayew, Sigurdsson, and Downes are all of our notable sales in recent years, and we got good value for all of them. The only players that...

Hull away last season was the game that made me turn on Williams, we were absolutely gash. Would actually be impressed if we played that poorly under Matos

Latte Lath had scored 27 in a season and a half for Boro when they sold him to the MLS for $22m last year. He was 26, too

    Some thoughts after yesterday’s game

There's a lot of chat about this squad 'only' being good enough for somewhere around midtable, but I'm not sure I agree. I definitely don't think we're good enough to fly out of the league or anything, but when you look at our best eleven and compare it with almost any team in the league, I'm...

This isn't quite a six pointer, but we really do have to win this evening. Back of a fag packet maths show that (assuming that at least some results go in our favour) we could end this evening closer to the playoffs than the bottom three - seven point gap vs nine points gap. Not for a second...

I agree, but his lack of end product is still immensely annoying. I don't expect him to randomly become a clinical finisher overnight, but you'd think that out of the chances he had against Oxford and Birmingham, he'd have hit the target with at least one of them. Hard to criticise him too much...

Won tickets to this months ago through some weird SkyBet competition that appearingly no-one else did. Glad to save the £40 it would usually cost for two seats, but am expecting to be sat in the bumfuck middle of nowhere completely on my own

Widdell's work rate unlike anything I've ever seen before. Tried to find stats on how much ground he covers, but was unable to. Did find this, however - he's effectively in the top 5% in the league (at worst) for every individual metric off the ball

Swans Complete Move For West Ham Defender. West Ham Recall Casey.

I thought he was good enough for more gametime tbh, particularly once Key struggled at fullback. Thought he was excellent against Man City in the Carabao
