• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

    The ‘Vítor Matos’ Managerial Thread

Throw into this that he's a breath of fresh air personality wise, and it's hard to argue that he's anything other than a smash so far

Ben Lloyd staying at Newport until the end of the season (didn't realise it was due to end in Jan, can't lie)

We looked really promising for a solid hour of that match, shouldn't have been anywhere near extra time, never mind losing on pens

Eom, Widdell, and Ronald all looking bright, but the first two have been so much better under Matos

Two, I repeat, TWO good crosses in a row from Ronald. Reports of football being ended nationwide imminently

    Joel Ward

He's a replacement for Santos who can also play right back, and brings a lot of experience. It's a no brainer really, assuming he's on pennies

Made that needlessly uncomfortable for ourselves. If we were even 'decent' in the final third, we would have blown them away

Couldn't write it. The two most pilloried players in the squad, and one makes a fantastic tackle to win the ball, the other twats it top corner from 25 yards. Fair fucking play.

Yalcouye has to start in our best midfield imo. He's the creative midfielder we need, and is honest to God one of the smoothest footballers I've ever seen. I'd go Stamenic/Yalcouye/Galbraith, or Franco if Galbraith needed at right back. Really like Widdell, but feels like his physcial ability...

The reality of Matos' style is that we're going to see a lot of disappointing rotation as it's so demanding of the players' fitness. Somewhat surprised with Galbraith, but Vipotnik is leading the press and isn't the most nimble of athletes, it makes sense for him to drop.

Tell you what, I've had a lovely afternoon in Oxford. Went to the Radiohead exhibition in the Ashmolean, bought some books, and currently eating a lovely Korean dinner. Cannot wait for us to get tonked this evening

    EFL refs

This is honestly the sort of offence where I wouldn't begrudge on opposition player throwing a punch. That is borderline assault.

Widell/Yalcouye good enough for the 10 imo, really unsure why they aren't starting. Think Inoussa and Eom are enough for the left, too. Ronald is the major problem, and even he's better on the left
