• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Oooooh

It doesn’t make sense to me to say that ‘it would be an excellent season considering the disaster for half of it’. Surely the disastrous bit is equally a part of the season as the better bit? Excellent would not be a word I’d use to describe this season as a whole. It’s been much the same as...

    Colours Nailed and all that

If the club allowed Darren O’Dea to sign our most expensive signing of the window and arguably the most crucial, that’s a sign of utter incompetence and someone should be sacked (along with O’Dea). But it’s simply not true. What may well be true is that after a window of being turned down by a...

    Colours Nailed and all that

I personally am really enjoying watching us at the moment. I like the effort and desire and didn’t think we were going to go up anyway (and as I said before, didn’t want to go up to be honest as I don’t enjoy a season seeing us thrashed every week). Our snail’s pace football has largely gone...

    Colours Nailed and all that

Why do you continually repeat such a pointless statistic? In the seasons since the parachute payments ended we’ve finished 15th, 10th, 14th and 11th. Hardly setting the world alight. As far as points are concerned, we’ve had 61, 66, 57, 61. We currently have 46. 46 with 11 games left. So we...

To be fair, it depends on the premier league team. Some that have been relegated have been premier league in name only. In other words, they’ve been promoted, been thrashed most weeks and have come back down. That’s not really a sign of anything. Leicester, Ipswich and Soton last season got...

    Keir Starmer

In my view, standard political analysts are getting increasingly caught out. I include the ‘sainted’ John Curtice who the BBC still talk about as though he’s infallible despite him being wrong as often as not. He’s utterly unable to predict the effects of tactical voting on his predictions. Plus...

The proof will be after the next general election given that’s what Zia Yusuf (and you) are talking about.

I remain unconvinced that the league gets stronger every year. I understand the point that it should do given financial factors but that assumes consistent pounds per unit of player quality. What I do see is incessant inflation of both fees and salaries on bang average players that takes up...

Reform haven’t yet cottoned on to the fact that a greater percentage of the population despise them so much they will vote for whoever will beat them than will vote for them. Swings become irrelevant. And opinion polls can’t take the tactical vote into consideration so consistently over value...

    S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Ipswich Town 3 Swansea City 0 | Att: 27,594 | 28/02/26 | The EFL Championship | Portman Road

“in terms of team performance, points haul is a better indicator.” Surely the league is relative though? Points hauls are hugely impacted by years where there are teams miles better than everyone else, years where there are teams that are truly dreadful or years where there is more of a much of...

Enjoyable game. They were better than us. As they were in Swansea. No shame in that. It is what it is. We are doing very well against teams that are average as our pressing and desire is enough to win or at least get a draw. Against the better teams it’s not enough and the lack of quality...

    The Preston Party Thread!

I’m not the one who has been crying on this thread. And I’ve never belittled you. I’ve called you out twice for offensive posts. One of which should have seen you banned. There are some on here who are obviously deeply insecure.

    The Preston Party Thread!

I haven’t criticised anything at all about Tuesday. Anyway - to be honest, this is hugely tedious. If you want to believe I’ve been negative, or that ARQS has been negative, that’s fine.

    The Preston Party Thread!

There’s nothing condescending about it. the person wasn’t being negative. He was actually supporting the view that linking tickets wouldn’t have made any difference. Genuinely. Since when did this forum become a place where only constantly positive views could be posted? Nobody has been...

Not sure then why you answered my post given it wasn’t about you? Perhaps you felt the need to prove how irrelevant it was?

    The Preston Party Thread!

By continually make crap comments you mean when I made a tongue in cheek jokey comment about rugby in this thread? Which was accompanied by a winky face thing to make it bloody obvious it was a joke? The only other time I commented that I can recall is over a table you’d posted where I thought...

    The Preston Party Thread!

I disagree. Saying ‘Why don’t you do us all favour and disappear for the next couple of days’ to another poster isn’t just fine. The fact that said poster wasn’t even remotely criticising the club but in fact was praising them for ensuring the ground was full (which others including me agreed...

    The Preston Party Thread!

Given the only reason ARQS posted about free tickets was to point out that linking matches wouldn’t have had the desired effect, the tone of this post is really off.

    Play offs..

I’m just pleased to see the effort and desire at the moment to be honest. We are all aware we lack quality in several places, but it’s great to see the energy. And I agree that’s enough for this season.
