• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

If we sell our best players we will. Which is what I said. Remove Vipotnik’s goals this season and we are down, not top 6. It will take a lot of change to replace them.

Great to beat them away from home. Amazing how they’ve deteriorated since we played them at home. They were absolutely awful. A great performance from Parker again. And brilliant from Eom and Vipotnik. And Vigs made a couple of crucial saves. Very scrappy other than that. I’m still uncertain...

“Yes, in all likelihood we will stay up” We are 13 points ahead with a total of 15 points left. It’s the very definition of a free opportunity to see what we have for next season.

Fulton has just signed a new contract and I don’t think anyone else will match what he’ll be on with us. Franco may be. Personally I’d (unpopular) probably cash in on Galbraith rather than Vipotnik if that’s the choice. We have better midfield cover than forward cover. Plus it’s easier to get a...

Really enjoyed the game. Nice to not have to worry about the result. Their penalty wasn’t a penalty as Eom hardly touched him. I suppose you could say that they deserved a draw though. Our centre backs were fantastic. As was Fulton. I think those two things are linked. Parker did really well...

    US and Iran

It’s not selfish. The ‘West’ (and it’s actually always America) have absolutely no interest in helping people being persecuted. They are only interested in enriching themselves. They only intervene where there is oil or rare earth minerals they want and you don’t hear a peep from them when...

    US and Iran

“I would like to think USA entered this War just to stop the oppression of Iranian citizens,” That’s genuinely ridiculous.

    Stadium + Snoop = Millions

Leaving aside the notion that the stadium would get 2m in revenue from a concert (that’s about 5 times more than Wembley gets for hosting a concert ) the club already get the rental fees from concerts since it bought Stadco. In reality, the stadium gets a fee from the promoter for holding a...

    Burgess

There’s nothing wrong with Cabango. He’s suffered this season from having a no cover at right back for most of it. We get opened up down the right side time and time again every game. Whether that’s because of the players or because it is true that Matos is attempting for some reason to play as...

    His salary gets paid.

    Widdel

He didn’t need to hit it first time, he was too slow between controlling the ball and hitting it because he shuffled his feet, Idah’s goal took a deflection after Fulton passed it as well. He just adjusted his position more quickly. Widell has promise but he needs to take some of the chances...

    Club Financial Statements 2024/25

No, they’re not lying, it’s very carefully worded. In both cases. Which is a huge shame.

    Club Financial Statements 2024/25

Ignoring the numbers, it’s pretty disappointing that both the club and the Trust have issued statements that are deliberately carefully worded to make it sound as though equity injections have gone in this season when they haven’t. The club statement is careful in that it says investment by way...

    Senedd Election 2026

Yeah, it wasn’t a slight at all. It was a comment about the level of challenge Wales will face as the scale of the opportunity isn’t understood with renewables. It’s like water. People will read my comment about opportunities with water and think ‘oh, it’s just selling a bit of water to...

    Senedd Election 2026

The UK’s energy sector and related supply chain is worth c. £260bn per annum. The value of renewables at present is around $25bn per annum - the exponential growth we are currently experiencing gives an estimated value of renewables in the UK alone of $100bn per annum by 2030. The total Welsh...

    Senedd Election 2026

The UK doesn’t provide a split of some of the significant figures I’m talking about. It doesn’t have a mechanism for measuring it because returns to HMRC are not split by country / region and the companies themselves won’t do it in full. Take Tesco as a single example, they will know revenue by...

    Senedd Election 2026

Establishing the fiscal gap is difficult. Firstly Wales is allocated ‘its share’ of UK projects (defence for example) and English projects (HS2 being an obvious example). Secondly companies registered in England but operating in Wales (most of them) will show as profits being generated in...
