Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
I’d get used to being annoyed!
When they get to the premier league they’ll be chosen for Sky coverage far more frequently than any other team outside the top 6. Which will have a direct result on their revenue.
They don’t get the revenue from their TV series. It’s an indirect benefit as it...
Our midfield gets away with a lot at both ends of the pitch.
Everything is blamed on defenders and the wingers. At some point you have to ask what the midfield are contributing where it counts.
I think we will have to sell to invest. And I also think that’s a huge plank of their strategy for the club going forward.
Increase commercial income.
Make significant profits from player trading.
That’s the plan. And why we’ve bought the players we have.
No money has gone into the club...
“Do Reynolds and Co annoy me, yes. It's not like they have reinvented the wheel”
Actually, they pretty much have to be honest. They’ve found a way for high profile owners to completely change the financial position, and therefore on field potential, of a club while remaining within the new PSR...
We can’t stick with this pairing if we want to achieve anything. One of the centre backs needs to be a ball player.
Darling is doing sod all, we could bring him back.
It wasn’t a wind up. I didn’t say we’d called them out but shouted out to them. We’ve tried to make it into more than it is because of their commercial reach.
Widell isn’t good enough at this level at the moment. Hopefully he will be at some point.
To be honest, I’d have preferred Cooper in there rather than him tonight.
I don’t mind at all if they go up. It’s about time they had something to shout about.
And I think the efforts their owners have put into making sure the whole area is improved as well as the club is laudable. They seem quite genuinely invested in the widest possible sense.
It’s not a derby even slightly. Nowhere near as much as Bristol.
But at the start of the season, we launched our kit by shouting out to Wrexham.
It’s about trying to get some of their reach, which is what it is, but we can’t then moan that others are trying to link the two clubs.
If they end up in the playoffs they’ll go up imo.
It’s written in the stars.
And if and when they do, they’ll have a hell of a budget. They were talking about them playing Liverpool at Yankee stadium this summer. Their commercial reach is huge.
Yep. He’s normally ok from there as well.
Ronald was his usual.
Nunes didn’t look much better tbh.
I’m unconvinced by a few. Widell flatters to deceive. As does Yalcouye. And if vipotnik is not scoring everything that comes his way we have zero chance. I mean that chance for Franco at the...
I said before it started ‘ if we approach the game with energy and endeavour, I’m happy.’
Sadly we didn’t. We played with an ‘we’ll beat these’ attitude that is frankly unwarranted. A few of ours think they’re better than they are.
Most annoying game for ages. I mean we’ve been routinely bad...
It is what it is to be honest.
If we approach the game with energy and endeavour, I’m happy.
As I’ve said before, the thought of spending next season getting absolutely smashed doesn’t fill me with a desire to go up just yet. Next season with a stronger squad and it’s different.
