And anyone who reckons Key is back to his best needs to have their heads read, have a look at the amount of space he allowed their wide men.
Not saying he played well tonight but when you’ve got a 3-4-3 playing against a 4-3-3 (or however you’d like to describe our formation) there’s inevitably going to space in wide areas for one team or the other at certain points, especially on the transition/counter attack.

One of Phil Parkinson's post match comments. Bitingly true unfortunately, it's the way we can often be 🤔..but in fairness to Victor nothing like Russball..

"They like to keep the ball, sometimes they don't do much with it, but they can make you uncomfortable"
Second half was a pretty good facsimile of Martin’s shite, to be fair.

Yes!

This is my main priority with Walta and Widell. If they are expected to be key to next season they need to be given time between now and the summer to play some serious minutes.
Exactly. If Matos wanted to use them he would. Instead he's resorted to bringing an on loan Yalcoue who will be gone in 3 months over them both.

I think the message is clear from Matos but some fans would just rather live in blind faith.

Widell will be a bit part player unfortunately.
When you have midfielders in Stamenic,Galbraith, Franco and our new scoring hope in Walta available.

Widell really needs to step up massively as a creative threat. Without that creative or goal threat then he's not doing anymore than the players I have mentioned.

Widell isn’t good enough at this level at the moment. Hopefully he will be at some point.

To be honest, I’d have preferred Cooper in there rather than him tonight.

Widell has played way more than Yalcoue, and Walta needs time.

Ok but I dont do twitter (x) or any social media other than this, pretty small wind up though in fairness.
It wasn’t a wind up. I didn’t say we’d called them out but shouted out to them. We’ve tried to make it into more than it is because of their commercial reach.

We’ve got Lissah coming back next season to challenge him. I think CB are more of a priority then RB right now
I think Lissah will come back but I think he will act as 2nd choice RB and 4th choice centre half.
My fear is, we will target a CB who will act as 3rd choice.

With regards the RB situation, I really don't know if the plan will be to keep Key or move him on.

We can’t stick with this pairing if we want to achieve anything. One of the centre backs needs to be a ball player.

Darling is doing sod all, we could bring him back.
