• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Zeidane Inoussa

You're probably right, but it would be so frustrating to have all this talent in midfield but not enough space to play them, especially while there are gaps elsewhere in the squad. Zeidane now on the left which pushes Eom to the centre role, Ronald on the right (and backup needed), then 2 of...

Like for like with O'brien would be my guess with Franco doing his usual holding and chasing down

    O’Brien

He brought energy and drive into a side severely lacking and for that you cant help but admire what he did. Did the contrast with Grimes style (and what we have been screaming out for years for) make him seem so different that we put him on a pedestal? I think it is probably a bit of both but...

    Harry Darling …

He’s gone, had it confirmed from a very very good source. Explains all the shit in last few weeks? Edit: Seems he’s a bit miffed with the contract situation, so unless something MASSIVE changes, then he is gone.

Up to 5 million for a winger has got to be one of our biggest signings in recent times? Must have some serious confidence in him. Hope it’s another gem 🤞

    Kyle Naughton

Experience can't be overlooked. I am sure we will see one, if not both, as part of the setup next year

Good timing for both, get them integrated into the staff asap

    Possession football overhyped?

Exactly this. How many times would we pass the ball to drag the opposition in and then Ash would knock it over their fullbacks wide to one of our wingers (mainly dyer)?? We have just started to see glimpses of that again and its refreshing.

Not sure if anyone has posted already, but this is a good listen and summarises their colossal fuck ups nicely. Essentially a lack of identity, piss poor transfer decisions and ignorance to glaring problems.

    Alan Sheehan-Manager for Next Season

Can only hope that this is followed by Darling resigning and O'brien potentially coming back 🤞

6th, I think a lot of people are going to be massively surprised by their signings etc. Ideally they go big on a few flops and struggle at the lower end, proper introduction to championship football that would be

Financial Implications of Lge 1 Relegation

How much of this was paid upfront and how much is instalments? Sue that would be an easy(ish) way of getting around these rules. Just look at the way Chelsea have been buying players and paying them over 7/8 years

    Wrecsam

As much I really do not want it to happen, I can really see them being in the Prem within the next 2/3 years because of their financial backing, media exposure and "fairy tale" like story they are tying to create. Also will inevitably help any 50/50 decisions refs have to make subconsciously...

    New Manager

You'll get told off by him for bullying now, watch your back 🤣

    Franco

Thats so far under his true value. He was the only bright spark under Williams and has multiple mentions on the board this year for such performances. 10 million with add-ons is probably realistic.

If he were to go then that would be a full midfield rebuild starting with only Widell, here is to hoping that he stays 🤞

Didn't Preston pay millions for him from Newcastle?? Piss poor business from them if true....

Sheehan deserves the chance and the Swans could be fun again

Whilst I am not fully on the Sheehan train, you have to admit not giving him the job would be another huge roll of the dice and gamble. We do tend to pick up points towards the end of the season (just look at our last 3/4 years) and there is a huge case to be made that the team and assets have...

Completely agree with you, IF it is true then we are in no need to be low balled. Sort of player that makes it very easy to fall in love with, here is to hoping he is here next year!
