Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
Not worried in the slightest currently, as mentioned by others id take quality over quantity and clearly we have learnt from last year when it was the exact opposite. 3 permanent signings in with 2 of them potentially becoming good assets to the club. Acouple more permanent signing (especially a...
Realism is also realising that this club has been punching well above its weight for many years and a mid table championship is about our level 🤷♂️ What does it gain to go into a new season with a glass half full out look instead of the opposite?
I dont buy this "we are screwed" next season feeling 🤷♂️ the clubs coming down wont be as tough as las year for starters. Add in a settled pre season (not changing manager) hopefully a settled back 4 (probably the best we have had for a number of years) and thats a good foundation for success...
Well we know the reason why humpreys/ashby were bought in as we were playing 5 at the back and duff wanted 2 players in each position. No one was complaining when they were bought in as they were seen by many as promising players with bright futures. Not sure blame can be laid at anyones door there.
I cant agree with that at all, every match he is the go to player that everyone uses to get us out of a tricky area of the pitch. The fact that most opposition managers put a player on him solely to man mark says all you need to know. It worries me that fans actually think we can find someone of...
You could say "over time" that during our stay in the championship we are a playoff team, its all in the wording. Last year 10th 3 points off the playoff and since then we have had 3 managers and still manage mid table. Glass half full/glass half empty, its all in the way people look at it...
Werent we top half last season 🤔 As mentioned in the original post its clear and obvious what is required. One major positive since luke has come in is that he identified that 5 at the back didnt work and by the end of the season we finally have our best back 4 playing. Clean sheets lay the...
First time this season in my opinion that we have had our first choice back 4 and low and behold a clean sheet. In a poor season i do carry hope that this very young back 4 can become an exicting base to work on from.
Baffling post if you ask me. Since our matches against the big guns in January our away record is played 5 won 2, drawn 2, lost 1.....i mean jeez talk about being hard to please. Add in to the fact that are home form is starting to turn (3 on the bounce) then this just feels like another knee...
You have to be the negative and out of touch person ive seen on the site since rejoining. Every statement you make backfires, latest one "ronald has no end product" then 10mins later has 2 goals 🤣🤣🤣🤦♂️
Wood and cabango havent always been crap defenders, yes there has always been an error in them but both being relatively young confidence is huge. You could argue that our back 5 (including keeper) this year is stronger than last year and that team were only 3 points off the playoffs. Goals win...
Darling crap behave, when played in his correct position hes been one of the rare bright spots in this disappointing season. The agenda of some on here is ridiculous
Id rather keep the glass half full and prehaps we will find some gems out there like nicham and piroe. We must have some of that money left to spend. I live in hope 👍
We only have to look at chelsea as a high profile club to see what alack of stability can do to a club. Martin had his players then Duff came in and wanted his type of player and you could see what he was trying to achieve with the players bought in. I find it hard to bash coleman and watson in...
Im not for one second saying hes been a good signing but he arrived as our number 2 striker (yes you could argue the board knew piroe would be off) but it was never guaranteed. When you lose 2 goal scoring number 10s (35 goals last season) then any new striker is going to be compared to what...
2.5m for a striker who over the course of the past 18 months has 20 league goals is not to be sniffed at. Blackpool were gutted to lose him, a poor 6 months in a players career doesnt deflate aplayers value that much and at 27 im pretty sure there would be interest in him.
It seems to me alot of...
As much as people slag off the owners for poor investment etc i dont think at the time last summer we could argue that an effort wasnt made to expand a threadbare squad. Obviously we didnt have the money from the piroe sale and losing oliver on the eve of the season was a killer.
On paper...
