Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
If you asked every fan who walked through the gates before our last two games to name 3 Snoop Dogg tracks, how many do you think would have been able to?
My guess is that you'd be lucky to hit 500
It may have added a small amount to what would otherwise have been a poorly attended game but for it to sell out days in advance? Absolutely no way.
They've obviously bought thousands of tickets internally, given them away and declared it a sell out.
If they're giving them out to all the kids local football teams then it's more than the players having a few tickets.
Not that it makes any difference... It just means that people aren't turning up to watch Snoop Dogg. Football fans in Swansea are hardly his demographic
Presumably the thinking is that they'll be social media-ing the shit out of Snoop's visit and want to do so without the amount of empty seats in the background you'd usually associate with a mid table game against Preston on a Tuesday night in February.
Which is fine by me.
I'm not criticising. My point is that selling tickets for Tuesday night linked with the Bristol City game wouldn't have necessarily impacted yesterday's attendance. Unless they made that game free too.
And also that the people of Swansea aren't turning up in their droves to see Snoop Dogg...
They've apparently been giving tickets to local football clubs and people going on the half term football camps.
Although I have also heard a few people say that Snoop had bought them to give them away.
The reason why this has 'sold' out is because, by all accounts, the club are giving away tickets left right and centre.
Presumably they want the stadium to look full when they do all the Snoop social media stuff.
Very few people have decided too go out and buy a ticket because Snoop Dogg is there.
I think it's a great idea if the teams finishing 3rd and 4th get the home Semi Final.
Anything that keeps the season more interesting for longer is a positive in my book. We'll benefit from it (even if it's just having less dead rubber games) far more than we'll lose out from it.
And if we...
Lissah is playing every week up in Scotland. If he came back here, he would probably be used sparingly - just being part of a match day squad is of no benefit to him now. He's better off staying there.
This Chelsea lad will be coming in probably to replace Casey but without the cup...
I think it's quite telling that we are moving in the right direction that everyone is fairly relaxed about the window. We are in the sort of league position that had everyone in hysterics last season. I'm guessing everyone is expecting us to pick up the 15 or so points we need to stay up.
My...
It's been alluded to elsewhere but I genuinely believe the board think we have an underperforming mid table squad that just needs a manager to have us playing to our true potential.
In a nutshell, they don't think it can get any worse than it did under Sheehan.
If they actually believe that we...
