• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

    SHEEHAN SACKED

Is it a bit odd that there still isn't any official word from the club about his sacking? Is there already somebody lined up? Not sure how I feel about Brenda TBH.

    We want Sheehan out

Got to say, I'm not convinced getting Sheehan out is the golden bullet some seem to think it is. How good are the summer signings? How good is the squad he's got to work with? With the exception of Galbraith and Burgess, few others have looked convincing up to now. Sure, there are things Sheehan...

    Alan Sheehan.

You must not be on X/Twitter, I'm being recommended to posts by various numpties with a picture of a Swan on their handle, calling for Sheehan's head before it's too late. Too late for what I'm not sure, but they seem to have taken the posts of Reform voters doing their spleen on Starmer, copied...

    Alan Sheehan.

Christ alive, the clamour is getting louder. They're readying their felt pens for new placards bearing the words SHEEHAN OUT. Fak me, it must be tyring being this reactionary is all I can say. Take a minute for yourselves, this endless 'get him out' must be wearing you the fak out, listening...

    Cardiff or Wrexham ?

It's going to have to be Wrexham for me, not because of this supposed 'rivalry' with them, but because the only way I can conceivably see either going up is via the play-offs although I can't see Wrexham being anywhere near close to the playoffs with their current manager. Good enough to take...

    Žan Vipotnik - Swansea’s Number 9

Let's not get carried away at his two goals, as encouraging as they are. Look at the defending for the goal on Saturday, all four defenders ball watching, not a single one of them keeping an eye on the Swans players in their box until it's too late with Vipi in position, with space to head home...

    Wrecsam

Living in North Wales, I used to watch Wrexham a lot in the late 80s and 90s, but I've got to say the Disney duo are starting to grate at me a little now. I could never hate Wrexham the way we all despise Cardiff, even if the Hollywood bros win the Premier League, but it's something that I find...

    New Kit

Leigh Dineen would have negotiated the original deal when we were still a Premier League club, so Joma would have wanted to insert a clause to lower the value of the deal in the event of relegation, so you would have imagined Coleman would have kept such a clause doing the opposite in the event...

Where will the Swans finish this season?

Let's not get carried away before the final squad for the season is known and before a ball's been kicked in anger. No point in getting ahead of ourselves without allowing any room to be pleasantly surprised.

    New Kit

Surely it includes an improved deal if we get promoted before 2030? Or does it not?

    Glory Nzingo

I'm sure someone posted on here that the rules make it easier for clubs to bring in attacking players from outside into the MLS than it is when it comes to defensive players. This is deliberate in order to get more goals in matches - because for yanks more goals in a game always = better. I'd...

    Cardiff City Relegation Party. #findyourlevel

With hindsight, not showing up in the derby was what saved our season and could send Cardiff down. It gave them a false sense of security, lead to Grimes' departure and thus the signing of O'Brien and hastened Luke Williams's sacking. The turning point of the season for us and the scum. They...

    Luka Modric new minority owner?

What I like about this news is that the ambitions the new owners have align with Modric's ambitions. What I mean is, if I stop talking in football marketing buzz words for a minute, is he aint signing up to a mid-table Championship outfit who have no aspirations or plans to be more than that...

    Alan Sheehan-Manager for Next Season

There were many on here excited with the appointments of Russy Marts, Michael Duff and Luke Williams. Many more dare I say than are in favour of Sheehan. For me, that makes zero sense when he's proven to be better than the lot of them. May I suggest that, maybe, just maybe, some people on here...

Millwall Fans singing "Leave him die"

Cardiff chants after Alan Davies' death by suicide is another one that sticks in my mind. However, chanting about a player that could possibly die on the pitch in front of your very eyes, now that is something different - that's on a whole new level for me.

    New Manager

What's Greame Jones doing now? No harm in asking him for the fifth time is there?
  19. J

    New CEO

It's not just a new Manager we need. It has come clear that this experiment of Coleman as a Huge Conk style chairman, with full oversight of everything, has failed miserably. If the new ownership group doesn't want to become pariahs like the Caplan, Whatshisface and Silverstein, they need to...

Maybe We Needed Change? Grimes Vs O'Brien

Grimes wasn't Leon, but he was always available, and kept things moving. He dictated the tempo of our play, and whilst this tempo was not always the one we wished to see, he has and will be missed. I guess what I'm saying is that he wasn't perfect, but he's better than what we have now. That's...
