Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
It’s nothing like Martin’s brand of football. Or Williams’. But there were too many times when we passed the ball backwards and allowed Millwall to regroup. Particularly Ronald.
Sheehan wears his heart on his sleeve. What makes you think he’d pretend to be angry with the ref just to deflect attention? Would be completely out of character.
Don't agree with that at all, sorry. First we tore ourselves apart arguing over Cooper, then over Martin. Finally under Sheehan we have a manager most of us feel we can get behind most of the time. I for one am enjoying discussing football rather engaging in endless culture wars. And the Mods...
I'd like to see Galbraith at RB, with a MF of Franco, Stamenic and Benson.
Alternatively what do people think about going 3-5-2, with Casey added to the CBs, Tymon and Galbraith at WB and Vipotnik and Idah up front?
Whatever happens, I do hope we don't rest Vig for this one...
Our whippet is going to need counselling after last night. He's an anxious boy at the best of times but having the whole family suddenly roaring at the TV with no warning does his head in.
Darling showed leadership at a time when the players looked lost and rudderless, mesmerically watching Grimes passing the ball to Fulton who passed the ball to Grimes who passed the ball to Fulton ad infinitum. I'll always respect him for the effort and passion he put in during those dark days...
I passed the time on a long and boring train journey today by reading the matchday thread on what I presume is Forest's premier supporters forum. OMG the entitlement was extraordinary! Haven't they spent most of the past 25 years in the second and third tiers? OK, so they have assembled an...
He always looked cross to me. I wished him well as a manager, but I wouldn’t have wanted to go for a beer with the guy. Plus I think he generally was quite honest much of the time but I’ve seen plenty of posts where people have said he threw players under the bus so that’s not good.
Not liking Sheehan is like hating Alan Curtis or hoping Bambi’s mother takes a bullet (apologies if that was a spoiler…). He’s literally the most likeable manager we’ve ever had.
Williams - not likeable
Duff - not likeable
Martin - not likeable
Cooper - not likeable
I could go on but you get...
Wonderful to hear Burgess and Vipotnik talk about how the supporters in the ground never stopped singing and gave them the energy to push on. Tonight was one of those ‘I was there’ bragging rights nights. Hats off to those who braved the rain and paid a stupid amount to watch their team almost...
