• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Announcing the new Jack Army Forum

I think it's just a case of adjusting to a new look The guys are constantly tweaking (oooh matron!) and very open to feedback. I think its quite cool to be in at the start and watch it develop. Have added it to my homepage. Sure its all going to ramp up there very soon with the window...

    What Ewe Watching

I did. Such a bleak and vast country too. The bit that got me was the throat singing. The lad was so moved. Isn't it incredible how humans can connect despite huge language and culture barriers? Heartwarming stuff.

It is one of the scariest places. A war zone is a good description. I look at the staff and wonder how the hell can they face that mayhem every single shift. My wife was blue lighted last year and it was an eye opener. I genuinely worry that either of us stand a good chance of going through that...

    The late great Tommy Cooper

Just read a funny story about this wonderful clown. I do hope its true. Setting was the end of Royal Variety show celeb line up to be presented to the late Queen. She arrives at Tommy. HRH: Well done on your performance. Tommy: Thank you Ma'am. Can I ask you a personal question? HRH: You can...

    Yet more upheaval?

Be interesting to see this seasons accounts. Wage bill for the number of coaches alone must be pretty sizable.

    Marks and Spencer's

I half expected them to move to Debenhams or at least a section of it. Sounds as if an announcement is going to be made this week to let us know the firms who are setting up there though.

Spot on. My glaucoma was picked up by my regular eye test which is why I will always attend optician for regular check ups.
