• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

    DOF

I wasn’t taken in by anyone, I am a cynical old goat. My opinion was the same before and after meeting them and been consistent on here with my view. Expecting instant results is what is naive. I said that Luka Modric is an active member of the board and knows all the ins and outs of the Swans...

    DOF

Ha! Would loved you to have been there and called them naive :) Where is the concern? They are not the type to be naive, they are majorly switched on individuals and you can tell that from talking to them. Luka Modric is on the board too who knows the ins and outs of everything the club does...

    DOF

Fair enough. Doesn't sound too different in fairness but did give a bit more detail. We were several drinks in so have just checked with my son in law and grandson who were with me to fill in the gaps. They said it will be more operational, being across medical, connecting youth to first...

I didn't give you any details of what they said so not sure how it's contradictory lol

    DOF

Got talking to the owners and some personnel of club in Swansea Jack after the Wrexham game. Really decent bunch fair play. They were talking openly to a bunch of us and doesn't sound like it would be a typical DoF role.

Vitor Matos ahead of Stoke City | Press Conference

I get the audio service at the games. During this week's match, there were the two usual commentators plus a couple of local pundits. So one of the main presenters asked the other guys" Anyone know if Yalcouye is being called for Africa's Cup?" Quick as a flash, one of the pundits said...

I am bowing out of this one gents. We ain't ever going to agree. I stand by my viewpoint however and its plain to see you will stand by yours. Bear in mind the affect this type of social media attention can have on a person's mental health however. Have a good Sunday.

Tell Brighton that. The reality is no recruitment team on the planet can fix a bare bones squad in a single window. Those who were going over the top in pre-season and calling Richard “Lord” Montague were way over the top. No different to those now trying to pretend the window was awful...

Sports betting and recruitment have a lot of crossover. Its not unusual - Bloom brought that to Brighton. Ethan Galbraith alone will earn the club a profit on their summer business. The fans are lashing out at easy targets at the moment. We are all concerned. I get it. We had the...

    Relegation? Should We Be Worried?

A few days ago you were accusing me of making it about personalities rather than our club. I will turn the mirror back on you. Montague and his mate claimed the signings as their own in their statements after they were fired and it was speculated in the media and on here that he did indeed...

Vitor Matos | First Press Conference

That's sad to hear. Yes the stress of finding a new coach would have been the last thing he needed when he was grieving. I saw him getting some real abuse at the end of Ipswich game re Sheehan and said to my mate that he looked strained.

Don't forget he announced quite recently his mother is ill with cancer. There's life outside football. Impressed with new coach's first interview. Hope we all give him a chance now.

    The ‘Vítor Matos’ Managerial Thread

You think owners sign players and managers? I doubt you think that really? Or do you? As a STH for many, many years, in my opinion, theres been nowt wrong with this years decision making at the club and the speed in which the decisions were made. It has actually been a major improvement on...

    The ‘Vítor Matos’ Managerial Thread

Whos not taking us seriously? Our club was praised from all corners for their business in the window, they sacked an underperforming manager - just as the fans wanted by the way and seem to have acted very quickly to get a replacement judging from the articles appearing today from Portugal. They...

    New recruitment team?

Which is why I said Montague's guy. 🙄 James Morgan Snowley..I was trying to avoid typing a ridiculously long name. And as it turns out, I was correct according to WOL.
