Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
Exactly this.
Pre-match: “we’re Swansea til we die”
25 mins: “fk off Ronal you c****”
36 mins: clear off to get more beers in
60 mins: “boooo” when Burgess gets the ball
Vip scores: “we’re Swansea til we die”
I’m sure we didn’t used to have such precious little flowers. It’s like watching...
I’m not sure “clamouring” is accurate. Given our very good back end to last season he’d done enough to earn a shot and I think most of us acknowledged that.
In hindsight that shouldn’t have happened. But then who knows how anyone else would have got on.
He always used to remind me of a rat. But l fair play to him, he’s turned into an excellent footballer of the last 2-3 years. He must be the best Welsh national player now?
Agreed 👍 . If we’ve a fairly settled team, we can carry a younger player. We should be giving them chances and Samuel-Smith has looked ready.
The trouble is we’re already carrying a few senior players, so the youngsters then become a bigger risk. I don’t think any of our players are...
Very fine margins. We had the chances to go into the break ahead. On another day there’s also a chance Pearson has to walk before he scores their first (but arguable)
I don’t see Franco doing the disciplined holding role. He’s like a Jack Russell running off all over the place snapping at people heels. Maybe though if he can stay put.
Eom shows moments although also slows us down (had Eom been still on the pitch he wouldn’t have put in a brilliant first time ball to Vip for our gaol).
Ronald, Cullen and Key aren’t up to it imo. Cullen would be ok in a 442 next to a Kieffer Moore type. Otherwise I stuggle to see where he can...
Yeah, ref should have added on the injury time from Tymon. I suppose the only defence of Key is that he’s been ill, so may not really be match ready (he certainly didn’t look match fit!)
Too little, too late sadly. Those first half chances missed didn’t help us. Switching off at the back didn’t either.
Fk it. Oh well, onwards and upwards.
That’s the main problem for me. We’ve slowly been selling off our better players and the new recruits have normally been worse. A progressive weakening of the team ever since we were relegated,
Of course. We lack quality, so struggle to come out on the top of the key moments (defensive and attacking).
But they’re all we’ve got and we’re not terrible. Just not quite good enough. And that’s the first 11. There’s feck all depth either.
Yeah, nice finish. Franco commits and gets turned, but not really his fault. A bit too much space for them, but it’s a bit special from there. 8/10 that curls wide (like Tymon’s did at the start of the half)
