• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Nail on the head. Raj kitchen was very underwhelming. Rasoi was and is always quality.

It’s all set up for a Celtic reconnection what with O’Dea here and now the appointment of Celtic’s head of recruitment. Welcome back Brendan!

My admiration for our fans who travel away.. but why do you do it these days ?

Such is the dross that’s been served up recently, I have admiration for any fan that makes a trip to the .com these days!

    Nostalgic Old Grounds

Went to Torquay in 1988. Absolutely rinsed down, end to end 3-3 game and we got promoted. Haven’t been back since. Another was Griffin Park, been numerous times. Can’t beat a football ground surrounded by terraced houses.

Worst start to a season since the Premier League 😯

The issue with Duff was his comments regarding the Cardiff game as being like any other. He pretty much alienated the fanbase early on after saying that. Don’t recall us getting a pasting from anyone under his leadership (correct me if needed).

    Burgess

The second og, is it just me thinking he should’ve tried clearing with his weaker right foot, instead of sliding in with his left?

    Key

Absolutely. Opposition teams have done their homework on us and attacked us down our right. It’s ironic that Keys best game was against Docu and City. Probably the worlds best winger atm.

    Long range shooting…

It’s something that they need to do in training. We very rarely have a pop from outside the box, and if we do, the ball inevitably ends up in the stands.

    Key

Five at the back killed us today. They always had an extra man in midfield and with their quality they killed us with that.

    We want Sheehan out

A sizeable contingent in the North east corner were, and he was booed when he went over there at the final whistle.

    Poll, Sheehan In/Out/More Time

There’s an argument for both really isn’t there. He’s new to the job, so he’s a bit inexperienced, also seemingly had the backing of the board. However his tinkering and changing of the 11 isn’t helping, maybe that’s down to his inexperience, but this needs addressing. Also might be worth him...

Are we doing OK or underachieving?

Look at the squad we’ve got. Definitely underperforming. A more experienced manager would probably get a better tune out of the players within the squad. I’m not advocating sacking Sheehan, but he needs to decide on a settled side instead of chopping and changing. We’re now 1/4 of the season in...

    Our League form

But shouldn’t we be doing better with the squad at our disposal? This is the strongest squad we’ve had in years.

Josh Windass MOM for me, even though Moore bagged a hatrick

    The Wrexham v Cardiff Thread

Agree on the above, Cardiff deserved the win, but Wrexham were so wank, they made Cardiff look good and I’ll stand by that.

    The Wrexham v Cardiff Thread

Wrexham are so shite, they’re making Cardiff look good.

    The Wrexham v Cardiff Thread

Maybe a few years ago I’d have said C’mon Wrexham, now can’t stand them equally as much as Cardiff.

    Brendan

Some of the best football I’ve seen at the Swans was under Brendan’s leadership. Loved to have seen him back here.

    Coventry

Absolutely am. You know there was a good player in there sometime. He was decent under Potter. Maybe he became indispensable after getting the captaincy. What I’m saying is that Grimes was guilty of sideways and backwards passing, but other than Galbraith and O’Brien last season I think the...
