Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
Absolutely it can, do we trust the recruitment team with 20m.
It's so difficult, we have more misses than hits when it comes to transfers (but I suppose that's normal at most clubs).
Look at the window when Vipotnik arrived not great as things stand the biggest outlay was Bianchini and this...
all depends how we spend that 20m
7m on Idah
5m on Inoussa
I know those prices might not be correct but you get my drift 20m does not always go very far.
Per mintue is good granted, but he's not been worthy of minutes on the pitch, which says a lot more about him than 3 goals and 1 assist in 613 minutes.
This makes him look like a 1 in 2 (just over) goalscorer and making a contribution goal contribution every 1.5 games (just over) and that...
To say Idah has contributed to more goals than anyone else in our side (other than Vipotnik) is just factually incorrect.
Ronald, Franco & Tymon have more goal contributions than Idah
I can't disagree with you that Idah was signed to be the main striker and that Vip's form has prevented that happening.
It's just my opinion and I will be most happy to be wrong, however I just don't see Idah being good enough, I base this on his previous at Norwich and what he has shown so far...
I agree he's not a lone striker, I just don't where he plays as I don't see him as a No10.
Some have mentioned out wide, I don't see the workrate in him to play there.
I find him a strange signing unless you are gonna play 2 up top.
Why is it baffling, I just don't rate Idah and I don't think scoring in the SPL equates to being able to do so in the Championship.
I have seen nothing from Idah to suggest he would be any better than his record when he was at Norwich (which was pretty poor), so yes it is hard to imagine he...
I remember watching him warming up at Hull and could see the attitude was all wrong, was totally disinterested and his shooting in that warm was woeful (the worst I have ever seen) and he didn't care.
You could see there and then what would happen, just was never going to apply himself correctly.
Fair enough, personally Idah isn't for me and as you say we don't really know what the transfer fee was.
I'm not saying Kone would have been the answer either and yes his history isn't over an extended period but there is potential there. Idah's record is not good with the exception of a decent...
Have we got a much better player?
The stats don't indicate this, the only positive for Idah his that his goals are in much less minutes.
I can't comment on Kone's overall contribution to QPR, however Idah's contribution has been sparse at best and he cost more than twice as much as Kone.
