• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

And for whatever reason they also score very few goals in the 2nd half.

You are being too kind to them. They only won one of their last six, including two losses at home. I don't know what's gone wrong for them but this is a great time to play them.

Best of both worlds for me this afternoon - and congrats to Vitor: is he changing the culture ?

This isn't some unexpected consequence of Brexit. It's precisely how it's meant to work. Get rid of free movement between nations so that British companies have to employ more British people. That's what a lot of people voted for.

Plenty of people have put £20,000 every year into ISA accounts. eve If you think that was wrong then

I wasn't around yesterday, I think I'll read this thread in reverse.

What exactly is it about raising hundreds of thousands of children out of poverty that you disagree with? Hundreds of thousands, not just thousands, and mostly with parents in low-paid jobs. And personally I'm relaxed about taxing people in £2 million plus houses.

    Relegation? Should We Be Worried?

Please come back after the next 2 results. I don't have any argument, I'd just be interested.

    Relegation? Should We Be Worried?

We shouldn't be betting our future on an unknown, untried foreign manager but that argument is over. Sheffield Utd and Norwich will both get their acts together so for the first time I think that we're in a relegation fight.

    The ‘Vítor Matos’ Managerial Thread

And what does worry me is that no-one is strongly defending him.

    The ‘Vítor Matos’ Managerial Thread

He has the grooming style of Russell Martin and about the same record as Alan Sheehan, who was managing in a more difficult league. I'm genuinely puzzled by this.

To Muteswan. Are bees knees especially pretty / tasty? What lunatic came up with that expression? Do bees even have knees?

Really hope so, umm how well had Alan Sheehan done after 12 games?

    The ‘Vítor Matos’ Managerial Thread

I'm not talking about all of the managers in League 1, I'm talking about the current top two, who would both fit in well.

I'd still look at the British managers whose teams are currently 1 and 2 in league one.

Is Vitor Matos the Right Fit for Swansea City? The Case for Patience

It didn't smell of AI to me though. I'm sure Phil used AI so it read more smoothly but it wasn't any more than that, because there weren't any 'triplets' in it. AI loves, loves, loves triplets and uses them excessively (lists of three, e.g. blood, sweat and tears / faith, hope and charity)...

    The ‘Vítor Matos’ Managerial Thread

Relegation isn't 'Highly improbable' at all. What would be highly improbable would be Norwich and Sheffield Utd (who aren't tripe at the bottom of the league) being in the relegation zone at the end of the season. So perhaps we're now actually 20th rather than 18th.
