• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Former Swansea City boss sacked as club issue statement

My least favourite Swans boss. I will never forgive the way he set us up for the play off final. Negative shit arse.

    Championship Playoff

For the sake of football - Boro are trying to play the beautiful game, have probably the best ownership in football. and were the innocent victims of the disgusting Saints tactics. I really hope they prevail

Should have sent someone down there sharpish to watch their training

Announcing the new Jack Army Forum

I am as thick as mince - what is the new forum called and where is the web address? Every time i google Jack Army it brings me back here 🥴

    Southampton

And this gentlemen is double bubble - Not only do they miss the premier league fortune - but their parachute payments will also be greatly reduced in year 2 forcing them to potentially cut the wage bill and sell assets. In an ideal world they will also start on minus 4 points and with a new...

It was Oxford and Ipswich - they lost the Oxford game and drew with Ipswich. Any way - I know that is being pedantic. On a factual basis (without commentary) the Canadian National team got charged and found guilty of similar charges at the 2024 Olympics. The head coach and two other coaches got...

    Ronald

His understanding of the offside rule is possibly the thing that boils my piss the most. It is literally his job and it is not that difficult- my wife understood it in 5 minutes - and she is a better finisher too (if you know what i mean)😎

    Keir Starmer

Living abroad gives you a more distant perspective - so I am quite prepared to be shot down. HOWEVER - Labour only need to do one thing to be a shoe in at the next election. Present a fact driven analysis of the catastrophe that has been Brexit and promise that Labour will seek the support of...

    Ronald

Ronald makes me pull my hair out - BUT I think you are wrong to question his hunger and effort.

    Ronald

The admirable work rate is what keeps getting Ronald selected. Other than that he is literally the only Brazilian that cant play football. Thomas Woodward had 15 minutes on the pitch and one opportunity to get into the sort of positions that Ronald gets into multiple times per game - he...

We saw the issue with MW today - a very high ceiling BUT a very low floor. Capable of great moments, but too often takes the wrong option and has a very low work rate.

Joseph literally has worse stats than both of our forwards and only marginally better than Cullen in his swiss army knife role

    Zan Vipotnik

It is interesting that Vipotnik scored his Championship goals at a rate of 1 per 128 minute. By comparison Idah scored at a rate of 1 per 138 minutes. Idah also has a lot more physical tools in terms of pace and mobility - mind you poopping the ball in the onion bag 23 times in a championship...

    Right wingers

Biggest question here - what exactly do we have with Innoussa. He looked very green and looked like he might have been carrying an injury at times. However, at other times he looked a real handful with pace - If he was able to fulfil his potential he might allow Eom to challenge on the right wing?

    25 Years of match memories

Statute of limitations excludes this - but the Steve Thornber hat trick at WBA to complete a ridiculous come back. More recently the Crystal Palace goal fest at the Liberty with Llorente in his pomp

    Ferrie Bodde

Alas they burned bright and we will never truly how good they could have been - but at different times both Bodde and Michu looked truly world class. Privileged to see both of them play for our Swans.
