• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Whittaker scored a hattrick in a cup game then got left out of the squad on the weekend.. then everyone said he had a bad attitude.. Vipotnik doesn't run about but bangs them in, Piroe didn't run around but scores.. but fans didn't call them lazy or crap when given a proper run.. Gyokeres didn't get a run, Joseph didn't and Whittaker didn't.. Cullen did.. can you see clubs queuing up to sign Cullen for millions? He runs about and points a lot and doesn't score enough.. but he's one of our own and people are biased.. nobody likes the truth

The admirable work rate is what keeps getting Ronald selected.
Other than that he is literally the only Brazilian that cant play football.
Thomas Woodward had 15 minutes on the pitch and one opportunity to get into the sort of positions that Ronald gets into multiple times per game - he immediately picked out his striker for an assist.
I am afraid you either have it or you dont.

I think you hit the nail squarely on the head there. Also Woodward being a local boy being very grateful and proud to get a first team game played with heart. Ronald doesn’t have the same motivation. I’d much rather the likes of TW come through the ranks and try their hardest even if sometimes things don’t come off then have Ronald there just going through the motions. We need players hungry for success HERE not elsewhere because they think they’re “too big for the Swans”. Get rid I say.

He should swap positions with Key who is better than him on the right side further forward.
I’ve said that maybe 3-5-2 is the way to go and have wing backs instead of wingers. This current model doesnt create enough chances. Remember how Laudrups played Wayne Routledge through the middle and that coincided with some of the greatest football the swans have ever played?

Wouldn't be at all surprised if we shipped Ron off, and he makes it under a manager who teaches him to just drill it across goal. Still think he's a good player when just going direct, he's just got the brain of a bat

Shame if we lose Ronald, he's progressed to 18% learning the offside rule.

Ronald makes me pull my hair out - BUT I think you are wrong to question his hunger and effort.

Agree Ronald is frustrating you can never question his workrate and effort ,

2 Incidents in the Charlton sums up Ronald's
game played in smashes the ball past the keeper into the net deemed offside ,
Later played in smashes the ball over the bar

His understanding of the offside rule is possibly the thing that boils my piss the most.
It is literally his job and it is not that difficult- my wife understood it in 5 minutes - and she is a better finisher too (if you know what i mean)😎

Nice to hear about a happy ending.
