• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

    The Last Day

Through good times and bad times, both Swans related and personal, this site has always been there and has been somewhere you could come to take your mind off things and pontificate with (some!) like minded souls. It's going to be very strange without it but can I offer a heartfelt thank you...

    25 Years of match memories

Jimmy Rimmer & Paul Price basically playing the last 10 mins just passing the ball back and forth to each other. At least that's how my 11 year old self remembers it!

Your First Ever Game At The Vetch !?

Beats me how all you people can remember your fist game. I haven't got a clue other than it would have been around 1980ish.

More likely get an agent to link him to Real Madrid!

    25 Years of match memories

Too many to mention but a nod to the 3-2 win over Yeovil at the Vetch with a last minute Trundle winner after we'd blown a 2-0 and Gavin Williams had head slapped the North Bank. That Hull game of course, followed by Bury home 1st game and then Cheltenham away which saw 3 hat tricks from 3...

I think I'm right in saying he missed practically the whole of pre-season. Far from ideal and would have certainly impacted him in the opening part of the season.

To be fair I wouldn't say Wood beat him for pace. Wood looked to have a 2 yard head start and got ended up with a 2 yard lead. Matched him rather than beat him.

Hope Pompey go down so I don't have to listen to that bell with the bell for 90 mins again next season.

    Sam Parker

Why on earth has he not seen any football this season. Was horribly exposed 2 on 1 with no winger support in the first half today but one mistake aside, dealt with it admirably and was quite excellent going forward. Quite baffling why we've decided it better to play either our best midfielder...

    Radio Wales after the game

But what there is now is the long term stability and assets to build from. Darling was out of contract, Allen retiring and O'Brien an expensive short term loan. As opposed to Burgess, and particularly Galbraith and Stamenic who are valuable assets ties down to lengthy contracts. And that's...
