Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr
All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.
Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.
It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.
The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.
Are we confident that figure will be the same for this season? We got a lot of high wages players off our books this season. Apart from Burges the players we brought in were on quite low wages I thought. I could be wrong but my guess is the wage bill dropped a bit.
I guess we won’t know until...
If he’s pushing for an exit then we’re in a weaker position and the fee we can get for him drops with it. I think people expecting 10m+ for him will be very disappointed
It’s all rumours and speculation though we don’t know what was offered and what was discussed. And Sometimes a players and clubs expectations will never align.
I would say if he’s so unhappy at his wages right now and wants more than what’s been offered on top then he shouldn’t have signed the...
I agree with most of that, I would say we would probably need another midfielder with Yalcoue gone and if we move Cullen on. One injury there and suddenly it looks slim.
There’s no point selling Key and Ronald at those sorts of prices. I think both are still useful for our squad. Key especially after his upturn in form.
There’s no such thing unfortunately. Every transfer is a risk. And there’s no guarantee even if we got a top goal scorer from somewhere else. Even if we kept Vipotnik there’s nothing to stop him struggling to hit a barn door next year.
My guess is the price is already set in the new contract with a minimum release clause. It was definitely a deal to suit all parties. Plus I don’t think we’re in a position financially to not sell unfortunately.
The people who bring up the stats to prove Eom is a bad player are the same people who will ignore the stats that say Ronald is our 3rd best player for goal contributions.
