• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I thought Fulton played very well and added stability and confidence to our centre backs. Cabango was excellent and also one of Burgess better games. Parker grew admirably into the game. Not sure what Stamenic brought to the game. Widdell ran around a lot but achieved little. That save from...

No starting spots for our 3 most effective performers in Sheffield, Idah, Eom and Fulton? Ronald at RB for me, Play Stamenic or Fulton at CB instead of Burgess which might serve as a wake up call and will make pur back line more mobile. Idah and Eom on the wings. We need Widdell singing on the...

We've just escaped from a mental hospital! As politically correct as it got back in the 70s.

Some time perhaps but I don't think he should start. If he did and we're 3-0 down in 17 mins in a Spursy kind of way, it could destroy any confidence he has.

I think that could be too much of a baptism of fire, perhaps we need more experience and bite there tomorrow, possibly Fulton or even try Ronald.

😂 that's fair. Do you think that Wales and Burgess could do with a season or two on loan with Falkirk or Kilmarnock?

Hopefully we will keep Vipotnik for next season but we mustn't forget we also have Bobby Wales waiting in the wings.

I would play Ronald at right back. Failing that Jay Fulton. Both could get forward in a Key type of way, when possible.

To be fair his goal in a 1-0 win v Huddersfield in the late 70s was a thing of beauty as was his celebration. If I recall, after sending in a piledriver from at least 20 yards, he ran towards the Open Bank who had been chanting his signature tune "Gary Moore, he can't score" (repeated), flicking...

He was the one from Hereford that I'd forgotten. Truly dreadful, made Gary Moore seem like Rivelinho.

Apparently Ward is great in the dressing room. Closest he should get to the pitch.
